Yeah, what was happening was that you would get something like "Increases Spirt generation (Monk resource) by 2%" on a Wizard or Witch doctor Offhand.

They corrected that, so that only stats that applied for the specific class would appear on the class specific items.

I'm guessing that is what you are thinking of, because it was pretty recent.
