I've been lurking this forum for about three months now (just after Christmas.) Many forums about D3 out there, but the senior membership on this board, to me, seem the most knowledgeable and logical about the game as any I've come across.
The fact that some of the people on here, who have upwards of 500+ posts and who I've seen regularly contribute and provide some of the best insight to the game (which drives your site traffic by the way) not receive a literally free beta key handout is total BS. Admins need to take care of what makes their site better than the rest of the crap out there and get their longtime members keys so the content of the site improves.
Wow - Its refreshing to see a 1st post defending the long time members. Thanks man and Welcome to the site (if you continue to post past the contest).
Why the random forum posts? why? now the forums are flooded with either repetitive or pointless threads. WHY? I cant post anywhere without telling myself "these people are retarded"
+1 - Curse is just trying to say, "FUCK YOU MEMBERS... we want to give away free keys to everyone besides you.... because newbies will out number you 30:1. We don't give a shit... Newbies = more ad money... oh and again FUCK YOU".
its true. this was a very pathetic move on the operators of this site. ruining the forums to get more ppl and posts? really?
GG mods
The main problem is the spaming... and with the fact that I cant mark topics as read its annoying as hell <_< I dont know what I already read and what I didnt... oh and all the repetitive topics... there are what? 3 "What will you play first" topics floating around...
At least fix the "Mark Forum as Read?" buttons
Its sad but i when i read a thread I literally skip anyone's post that has less than 125 posts.

Well for once I have to agree with wit Sabvre... there are tons of "one post" Members that contribute NOTHING to the community... the thing is I think you cant circumvent this matter... even if you say "at least 10 constructive posts" people will just write @%"§ 10 times to get the keys.
Oh and definitely point 3... so many stupid topics about things that were "new" months ago. (and they were most likely already discussed <_<)
Worst problem is Curse doesn't give a fuck about us actual members. Same strategy as F2P games... aim at the newbies rather than retain the oldbies. More people means more people that can accidentally or intentionally click on the banners/ ads.. means more people that bring them money.
Curse you Curse... enjoy screwing over your longtime forum goers :Thumbs Up:
Actually, it's better not to dig around too many posts made by members because oldies did troll/flame at some point in the past. Posts made lately and good forum behavior are a good requirement to both keep the quality of conversation high and get more people interested/informed.
Sure, oldschool members have pretty much discussed everything to the death, but... well, oldschool members can help new members with information they need.
Also, it's easier to reward one great post and not to check 3,4,5 or whatever number of posts sounds fairer. Multiplied by 200.
Of course we've trolled or flamed at some point in the past... but as least the atmosphere felt like a real community rather than some forced pile of crap.
I'm not just saying this because of how salty I am about the contest (which i certainly admit i am)... but instead because i just don't like the site tonight... and i assume i won't like it until the contest ends.
I can no longer find interesting threads.
I can no longer follow along on threads because in the INSANE amount of spam.
I can no longer find my topics because of the INSANE number of duplicate threads being created.
In my god honest opinion you guys ruined th community rather than built it. Congratulations!
I would like to formally protest this post contest.
1.) People are just going to create multiple accounts in order to increase their odds of getting a key.
2.) The long time members are going to get flooded out by the newbs that are ONLY contributing for the key.
3.) The influx of new members normally creates an influx of repeat topics and questions that are often retarded as they are old old old news.
There's tools we mods have to make sure there aren't multiple accounts. We've banned members before for this, even without beta key giveaways. Just sayin'!
Anyways, good luck everyone! At least the amount of keys to be distributed is large enough to have a good part of the community satisfied!
