what you're basically saying is "previous games were better because you could trade the garbage you find". I disagree. Trading was always the worst part about those games. I'd rather find the good stuff with higher dropchances and am just done with the game at some point. There is no need to drag a game to eternity with low droprates and trading. I want to play an ARPG, not economy simulator
edit: And I do understand those games well enough. I've played all of them. Selffound and with excessive trading. casual and nolife. I've done it all. I simply disagree with your opinion. That doesn't mean I don't understand this genre.
without any new content, just doin the same thing over and over again for no reward.
isn't that basically the definition of Diablo?
Try Path of Exile if it has to be multiplayer.
If Singleplayer is ok: Grim Dawn
If that is diablo for you no wonder you didn't get shit from what I've said.
So let me enlighten you, one of the core functions of an ARPG game is the loot and that in itself is the reward. If loot lacks flavor, seems unimportant, and "repetitive" then the reward is never felt and that is mostly the current definition of diablo 3 BUT NOT OF A DIABLO GAME.
Let me tell you of a contradiction that is actually true in diablo and leave it as food for thought. In Diablo 3 Loot is very powerful because its build changing yet has no value because of lack of uniqueness.
If you have enough experience in Diablo and ARPG games you will understand what I,ve said.
Dude, I don't know what Diablo you played in the past, but D2 was grinding the same bosses over and over and over again for weeks of no loot...
