I also think Magic Find is also unique to the Diablo Universe....
I believe you are right that, so far, only Diablo II has ever implemented a bonus to increased magical items placed on worn items. Hopefully, it will be the only game to ever implement it.

Isn't the OP asking about things that define the Diablo universe? Because most of the stuff mentioned in posts since his have been just random crap you can find in most RPGs from even decades ago. Seems to be veering too far off topic.
And, I would add something, but I think everything's been covered (most notably, The Cube).
