Hello! I'm running a Marauder build Demon Hunter and my Manticore finally dropped. It's Ancient but frustratingly the stats are pretty much all at the low end of their ranges, including pathetically low dex and the Cluster Arrow dmg increase which is its absolute minimum. Elemental dmg is poison when I'd really rather have had cold because I'm using Bane of the Trapped. Sigh. My hunch is to boost the Cluster Arrow dmg to 80 as I can always use Caldesann's Despair to add more dex, but what do you think?
It is an unfortunate drop but It should still work better than any other option.
Best you can do is roll CDR into 10% damage, and use it until you find a better one.
The damage type has zero effect on anything. Take it as plain damage number only. It will not benefit from elemental damage bonus nor effect any skill-rune-gem-affix-etc related to its type.
Hi Diablofans ! Thx for making this thread so usefull and visible.
I've looted this beauty and I'm not sure what to roll. LoH is a nice tank stat, but would CDR or AS be better ? Especially since I won't be pushing high GR with UE, trying to get the LoN ancient setup... someday...
I'de love to reroll the dmg just to get it perfect, but it's not too bad allready.
So I'd love some advice. THX !
that 4th affix below the dexterity ( I can guess it's life per hit) is the roll candidate. You can cap CDR to 37% or boost toughness with Vitality if needed.
, does AS give me more than paperdamage, quicker attacks more rockets(?) Some people have suggested going either the 10%dmg roll (easier than perfect weap dmg roll), or to go cdr instead of AD and then when my gear is better go back to AD because it's according to them a great damage stat later on.Haha I wish there was somewhere you could read about all these mechanics.I still can't decide what to do ^^
You already got the must have top 4 affixes with high end rolls. The only flexible stat to roll here is AD, which you have a chance to shift as needed between AS-CDR-RCR-AD
Well nothing much to say, all stats seem close to max.
area damage into cdr;
With the incoming patch, the new vengeance skill will be an essential part of all builds. Marauder set and UE set particularly will benefit from vengeance via upraded set bonusses. The new Dawn crossbow will be the cube weapon which reduces the cooldown of vengeance by 65%.You are going to have to stack ~36% cdr to gain "perma-vengeance"
The bow you call crap is perfect (well almost). You can roll Vit into AS, AD, RCR, which ever you feel is lacking in regards of stat balance, or you can leave it untouched for vit is also valuable as you get higher up.
min-max damage is ~100 dps short of the limit which is not worth it.
Dex and %damage are close to higher end, so it's better to leave them on their own.
If you don't have rcr on any other slot or less than 2 , then roll RcR.
If you have rcr on +2 other slots, AS should probably net you the most benefit.
If you don't have any AD on gear, don't mind rolling it, but if you have one slot with AD, having it also on Weapon will be useful if you are trying to push +60 GR group or solo.
max disc if on the low side > socket to rcr if got decent AS
with +50% speed MS you will need each and every percentage of rcr you can obtain, to keep it rolling or else you are gonna end up spamming primary skill rather than MS, you might even have to sacrifice a passive for rcr. The only times you need to shoot generator should be to de-buff target or refresh F&R buff.. I'm telling all this to indicate importance of rcr for UE MS build(s) including this weapon

Nothing much to gain from area damage in an UE setup. I would roll AD into AS rightaway
Roll AS to 10% damage
Nice find!

wait for new patch.
You might want to utilize this weapon with Marauder set instead of UE by then. In that case disc would have no priority..
