Those cry babies probably cost a lot of people to either A. Lose their jobs, or B. move half way across the globe. Either way those fags should be handcuffed to a tree and chained to a truck and ripped in half slowly. Seriously how would you feel if you were in that building that got shut down because of cry babies?
Only issue was that this guy thinks the game is already bad when it's not even in the stores yet and no one has played it. I tought Hellgate London could be pretty nice game.. but hey I played it and found out it was piece of crap. So imo it is just a waste of bandwidth to post things like that when you haven't even played it yet.
It is possible that only the main building was destroyed by Diablo and the lower lvls were unaffected. Without clarification on this matter it can't be determined.
The town of New Tristram was built around the old cathedral to profit from the adventurers which were lured by the supposed riches hidden under it...
That is not how it is writen but yes I see your point now. On that note I'm not sure what has happened to the cathedral other than human control for 20 years but you are right that doesn't fit what we saw in the trailer. Maybe the cathedral was another cathedral but it's not looking good in that respect. When I first read it I read it as it was just an old Cathedral. Not THE OLD cathedral. Guess it is possible it was rebuilt right after Diablo flatened everything which would make it old still. I don't know the lore isn't clear in this respect.
the graphics in my eyes look very nice whats pissed me off is these floating numbers, the real lack of gore, sure hit the monsters they blown up spit out blood but soon as they hit the floor the body's just vanish like in fail quest, do they think we are 12 or something?????, also the lack of useable chars from what we have heard atm 5 classes? come on D2 started with 5 then lods nade it 7 so D3 should naturaly have 7 then 9 with an exp.
Floating numbers are just critical hits and you will learn t5o love those if you are a mass damage guy. They will help you buid you character and find the best damage dealing items and skill combos. This also allows you to see the end critical damage after all the resistances and def is factered in and make adjustments to your char as needed as you go through the game.

LOL agreed! But this is still a work in progress maybe they did that so the lab top wouldn't slow down during gameplay. I hope they change this when they start adding in the corpses and blood textures to the background.
dude... I DID PLAY the games and I know that the CATHEDRAL survived the flattening you are talking about... NEW Tristram was built around the Old Cathedral in order to profit from adventurers...
Where did this info come from? This place has only been arround for a few years according to cain.
Tristram cathedral wasn't a peaceful place since Diablo1 -do you know that?
And that lil statue is not gothic in style...
LOL that has absolutely nothing to do with now. That old creepy place was demolished by diablo. This place you are in is probably 15-20 years old. Diablo 1 and 2 have nothing to do with this tristram and I think that is where you get lost in this story and have those opinions of this place.
Thristram Cathedral was always a piece of gothic artchitecture.
Gothic not as in "dark moody" but as a style of architecture
So then you just said it is solely based on the shape of the building so how does that lil statue hurt the game? This is a peaceful place of religion not a satanic cult.
at leas some of it was called "Forgotten Tombs" - which suggests dungeons... but even if it was the cathedra itself - well, thats even worse... because all of a sudden a gothic (in terms of architecture) buiding becomes very ungothic (again in terms of architecture) - weird, don't you think?
That violates the continuity of a franchise...
Edit:
"That was the location that Cain resides and it's a holy place like a giant church. They over ran him there which is why the hero was sent there to rescue Cain by the Girl in the trailer."
Natfrog, how do you know all this? Deduction? because if it is a church, then...well... Cain was supposed to be in the tristram cathedral - and this does not look like a cathedral at all...

LOL tombs just mean a place to bury the dead without digging the hole. Most ancient cathedral's have people of high ranking stature there or atleast the coffins or urns or whatever monument they chose for the dead.
As far as I thought, the first part of the Gameplay trailer was in the dungeon "Tristram Cathedral"... I was under that influence at least.

not the world - read my words, I have specifically said that I don't expect them to turn off the sun in this game. But the dungeons under a gothic cathedra that has a history of hiding a Prime Evil could use a little more dark and gothic fell - yes:)
Terribly sorry fo a double post
Did you see something that I didn't? There were no dungeons in the trailer that I saw. Just a small part of the cathedral that cain was ambushed on. The rest was outside.
