Oh, 10 characters already? Better hit submit then.
The PS2 still stacks up reasonably well against the new consoles, and the PS3 blows the other two away by a helluva lot in power. The Sony consoles have staying power, I'll give them that.
its obvious diablo 3 will be a mmo. before wow, blizzard made not much money with their games. when they made wow money started pouring in like honey. so they will do the same with diablo 3. it will be a mmo, or it will have a monthly fee anyway. it takes place in heaven so that is a good pretext to have healers in it. i just hope it will be less than 25 mans. 5 man would be better than 6-25 mans.
solo would be perfect but i seriously doubt blizzard will make diablo 3 a solo-game. they probably think like this . the more people are nedeed to kill something the more subscribers they will have. it worked with wow ( there are enough retards out there that dig wow )... so why wouldnt it work with diablo ?
I'm sorry, but I'm laughing so hard inside. They may not have m,ade the kind of maney they're enjoying now, but they still pulled it quite a fair amount of dough. I mean, EB Games still orders and stocks Diablo 2, Starcraft and WCIII battle chests, and has to re-order them. They don't just sit there, they do get sold, and thus they are STILL making a fair chunk of change off of the older games.
The second boded part, what do you mean? Do you mean how many people can go in a game, like Diablo 2 has 8 people? I should hope we don't end up with 25 people all swarming Diablo...
Second paragraph. Why would they not make it solo? If they made it an MMO, like I said, it would be in direct compitition with WoW. Just as a figurative example: 5,000,000 people playing WoW at 15$/month. Diablo 3(MMO) comes out at 15$/month. WoW players go either "Oh look, Diablo! That game rocks!" and jump ship, or they might go "Pff, Diablo, WoW is where it's at" and stay. So nowwe have, as an example:
2,600,000 (Half jump ship, but advertising spillover will bring in a few more)
3,000,000 (Many from WoW jump ship, many new people)
So they make more money, right? Heh heh. Wrong.
Where they had 5,000,000 people playing WoW, they could have 5,500,000 from Blizzard getting good press, and all the people playing WoW, not wanting to pay for 2 MMOs simultaneously, would be happy to pay a one time fee for a good RPG. So now we have:
5,500,000 people playing WoW at 15$/month
3,000,000 people buying Diablo 3 at 60$/person.
100,000 buying Diablo 3 permonth after hype dies away a bit at 45$/box.
Yeah. Two competing MMOs is just so dumb in every possible way.
fast-paced grind fest? i don't really think diablo one was very fast-paced, pretty slow gameplay actually, though a lot of clicking is accurate. diablo 2 was more fast-paced though because of the running feature. anyways judging by technical traditional diablo game-play as long as they make monsters in a diablo MMO die quick so that it will be a "fast-paced grind-fest" it'll work eh? since thats all diablo is and all... if thats all you want then why not get on diablo 2, get on a lvled orb sorc and go into normal cows and click away. what are you doing here if you just want another diablo 2? there is much more to diablo than fast-clicking and killing monsters, a true fan would know this very well.
You know what? I think, while Diablo 2 is a fun game, Diablo captured the true spirit of Diablo. Sure, in Diablo 2 you kill a lot of demons. There's some lore. Ok. Now in Diablo, it actually feels like you're decending into Hell, the dungeons get steadily creepier, the music is perfect, the darkness... I like Diablo. But Diablo 2, with no atmosphere, comes down to mad-click fests and a bit of lore.
What would you say the true spirit of Diablo is, Mr. You're-not-a-true-fan?
You do know you echo almost every single gamer, dev team and publishing company in the world, right?

EDIT: On a console, I mean.
