Although to add what I have already stated. I have always looked foward to diversity in Diablo and loading the characters might be a good idea. Maybe not loading them into D3, but rather re-introduce them with new skills and looks. Having a total of 12 characters to choose from will bring longer gameplay (which is always a plus), more diversity in BN (which is a plus) and even more builds to choose from (plus, plus, plus). If you do load your d2 characters in d3, i will have a frown, but I will still be obligated to buy the game. ^^

The Fighters class idea isnt neccesarily bad, its just that they should probably find a different name for him.
Well, the game isn't out yet, so we can only hope.

This info that ryan has presented to us does sound good. And i would have to agree with Sabacca50 about loading characters and potion animation but the chronomancer can be a good asset to the side of light. He has the power of god, in a certain aspect. But lets see what others have to say.

I believe that everyone has a good point in this thread. I think we should come up with a poll stating people who believe in Ryan and those who do not. Whatever the outcome of the poll shall be the decision whether to leave the thread alone or close it.

Dude, there is proof everywhere. Even I have proof. You guys just want specifics...
I go to school for Game Design and one of my teachers worked at blizz on Starcraft And Broodwar, then she left to make her own RPG. She still talks to her friends at Blizz. She said they are working on D3.
My step aunt works for HP, and deals with Blizzard all the time. She sells them their comps (and servers I believe...?). Anyway she good friends with Mike Morhaime (Blizz Pres). She says D3 is being worked on.
There is your proof. D3 is being worked on. But, like i said. We already knew that. We want to know more specific stuff to get us excited. Like how many acts, classes, story...
umm...I am a contract manager at Hewlett Packard for telecom networking services based in Corvalis, Oregon. I manage all support for telecommunications and traffic them. There is no connection between Blizzard and HP.

Ok...well i want this thread to get back on topic, so...what proof do we have of Diablo III and its existance?
We only have possible proof...
The interview by the Diablo's Novel author.
The "mistaken advertisment at E3"
A few peoples unofficial sources
The unnamed project for '07 by Blizzard
The job postings for blizzard and the team behind Diablo
anything else...?

Well, it does seem that ryan has been pretty upset of some members on this thread. I think he is just sending the info to Lord Silver and Elfen Lied and that's it. I have seen ryan on a few other threads but still not as active. If I recall Cuddz has a source though.

Do not fear in us leaving my lord for you were the one to lead such a community before the new world was shown to us. You and Elfen Lied has done a tramendous amount of work to hold together this guild. We might not come to this community as much because of D3, but we will still remain loyal and plus this is the community where will talk about D3 for a millenia.

I see what you are saying my Lord. One company using a single product until it is sucked dry of customers and move on to the other franchise for additional money. This will ensure cost saving but will decimate customer support.

Personally I think they are making a D3 however I don't expect it to be any were near as good as D2. The company has lost its way ever sense they were bought out by Vivendi. Like said Blizzard is not the same company we all loved back before Vivendi took over.
When they were doing D2 it was for the love of the game. Now all they see is dollar signs, its all they care about. They will take short cuts, make cheese story lines, etc etc all for the all mighty dollar.
While I will give it a shot and it might be fun but I don't expect it to be any where near as good as D2 was.
Your right about the whole taking over thing and Vivendi doing shortcuts for money. However, I am a manager of a telecomm networking contract company, and one of the first rules for investing and gaining money is to use all of your projects/products. This is the fastest way to gain revenue and all companies know this. You are not going to gain the hearts of, lets say starcraft or diablo customers when you release one or two games to them and focusing all of your efforts into Warcraft. Yeah you get a lot of money from Warcraft and say 2 million customers of warcraft, but what about the remaining customers that still play starcraft and diablo.
That is a waste effort to gain money when you focus all your man-power on one product. If they would evenly distribute the efforts on all products, you will have tripled your earned revenue. I fear if they continue to put all efforts into Warcraft, they will lose customers from starcraft and diablo. Losing customers results into lose of company. They know this. Trust me when I say that they will continue the starcraft and diablo franchise.
And for those who don't believe in my crudentials, look up Black Box Telecomm Networking services. I am a site manager in Oregon.
