launching 2 instances of es so you can rush your self XD
Connect to Hamachi.
Start a TCP/IP game with one of your chars (Host Game).
Alt-tab; go back to desktop.
Click on ES launcher again. It will tell you that ES is already running; do you want to run the second instance? Click "OK".
Choose "Join Game" when you get to that screen, and enter your own Hamachi address, then once you're connected, choose your second char.
Viola!
But it IS rather awkward since you have to continuously Alt-Tab to switch between chars to control them. I don't think combat would be wise playing this way.
Thanks for the offer but I am currently playing single player, which might be the problem
All players start in single-player mode, so if there is some kind of problem, that isn't it.
I just created two new chars: a sorc, and a barb, and they both had Adventurer's Packs -- all new characters get one.
Your beginning inventory on a new char should look pretty much like that; weapons will vary a bit depending on class. The above is what a barb starts with (he starts with both weapons equipped, which is why you can't see them in this pic).
All chars get those same potions, a cube, the two tomes, a shield, and an Adventurer's Pack.
Cube that Adventurer's Pack, and you will get a damage augmenter, a Noob's Odd Charm, and a Rogin's Oil.
Also I stored 27 rings so I can re-roll them in to a unique ring but I only get a rare ring and all 27 points are use up.
If you're trying to roll a class-specific unique, then your char needs to be above level 65, and you need to be above level 15 to roll a non-class unique from 7 rares.
Until then, the RARE-->UNIQUE re-roll will only give you a rare.
LOL Zhar. Dude, I know the 1 million post thread is a priority for you, but take a time out and go back one page (to 104) in this thread and start reading from post# 1037.
I've got it installed.
The game runs, and it says R6E on the title page, but I have no clue what to look for as far as what changes were included in this "unofficial" patch -- there are no release notes included in the zip file, just a new data folder and new PlugY_user and PlugY_ver files.
I'm sure I could deduce something if I had time to look at all the text files in the data folder, but I don't right now.
Update: (something I missed when I installed DL'd the patch this morning)
Here are the patch comments, as listed on the Community Patches page of the ES Wiki:
- Nightmare Diablo was rebalanced to avoid a roll over in the throne room, this may result in him being harder
- All Damage Augmenters need to be rerolled, this can be done by cubing it
- New Content Will not be added till bugs are fixed
- Ancients Call And the like haven't been changed as they seem balanced as is
- Oak Sage Works Fine -> ((base_life + item_life) * (sage_bonus + item_life_bonus))/100. item_life EXCLUDES life per level(this is a engine bug)
- Sway: Does the synergy also need base points in sway to take affect? -> currently its if(base_level > 0){ AC *= (synergys * 10)/100 }else{0}
- Throw Mastery Works as it should Skill & Display Wise -> Buggy Application of the stat in the D2 Engine?
Grrrrrrrr - 18million gold gambled - and still no Girdle of Giant Strength titan belt (I'm getting sick of seeing Timeloop and Darkshade belts though) - I can't even get a white Titan Belt to use that frickin stone with.:(
Heya, Ully... just wanted to thank you for joining our game when you did yesterday. The boost in XP helped me reach a goal. Much appreciated!
Also, I was playing my bowazon in that game, but I'd be interested in seeing your build for your druid; my druid seems lacking, in comparison; granted, I just hit Nightmare with that char, but still... he apparently indulges in the weaksauce.
I have yet to find any part of the Cow King Set; I will pass it on, if/when I do; very gladly in return for any one of the scrolls 44-50, or, failing that, simply out of the pure goodness of my heart.
Hehe dclone can come out and surprise you if you didn't happen to notice the ...walks the earth comment.
I had seen that in at least one other game. The earthquake that accompanies it is slightly noticeable, if you're not engaged in battle at the time. I found it strange, and dismissed it, because I was thinking in D2 mode; that it could only happen in multi-player.

My barb has no problems at all with dclone (10 hits max lol) - my sorc can't do sheeiit. When I get him with sorc, he is fire, cold and lightning immune. grrrrr In my opinion, he isn't worth bothering with, he doesn't drop anything all that great (in my experience anyway) but I still keep trying. hehehe
I think I would have had an easier time, and won the fight, if I didn't have the /players boosted up to 3 at the time. I was trying to find the right balance of getting max XP, so I can get my ring back faster, without dying every five minutes.
But, yeah, I think the dclone drops probably aren't worth the hassle. Dae said he got some really weak drops, too.
I was blazing through Act II Hell last week in single-player, on /players3, until I was ambushed by a Diablo clone in the Halls of the Dead.
It's a common occurrence for the rest of you, I know, but I've come to realize that I'm a more casual player than most (I take my time, and I build my characters differently than what has become normal), and this is my first real foray into Hell.
My barbarian, the one I was so impressed with (pfffft) earlier in the thread, just didn't have the stones -- he's a lvl 77 mule now. Anyway, boring aside, aside, I had completely forgotten about the possibility of Diablo clones. Dude took me by surprise.
After a long, drawn-out battle with many return trips to town (the fact that he regenerates to full-life every time you go back to town is a huge pain in the ass), I ultimately lost. If I had had just ONE more health pot on me, even one of the minor ones (he was almost dead -- two hits would have done it -- so I didn't want to go back to town again), I would have beaten him.
But, he got lucky, first. I'll get 'im next time.
Currently lvl 87 (bowazon), striving to hit level 90. I had done a bunch of D-Stoning, back at level 80, wasn't paying attention, and D-Stoned my set ring ( I use the Lixo's Feathers set) right off my finger (REQUIRED LEVEL: 90). That was a dumbass move -- for some stupid reason, I had gotten it in my head that the level penalties didn't get applied to set rings/amulets (did I mention, I'm a dumbass?).
Once I can wear the ring again, though, I'll get a decent little INCREASE MAXIMUM LIFE 56% boost.
does eastern sun has any problems under vista ..i installed diablo 1.10 and after that latest eastern sun and when i run the launcher nothing happens
It sounds like you may not have extracted the ES files into the proper directory, or, you forgot to put the CD-ROM in the drive (I do that occasionally ever since the no-CD patch for Diablo II was released (which is incompatible with the current version of ES)).
is there a version out for 1.12 yet? can you link it sry i dont feel like goin thru the thread
Nope. There isn't. And from what I read on the ES Forum yesterday, it seems that Tsuru, the guy at the helm of ES, has been missing in action for several months, now, and no one knows anything about his situation. So it may be some time before we see another update, if we see one at all. The next was supposed to be R6E, but that appears to be in limbo until Tsuru comes back, or one of his associates takes the reins.

I wonder how that set compares to the Diablo set? (I still need the Gloom Armor for that one.)
