Yeah. This beginning part could be somewhat tricky. It's a challenge I wanted done on purpose, though. It makes the game more personal and interactive.
By the way, Zhar, I appreciated that you mentioned your excess of casting spells weakened you at the very end. I was afraid I was going to just see everyone flinging spells left and right, but it looks like, if others follow in your footsteps, it will turn out fine.
And also, just noticed something in the spellcraft tool.
Theres no option for deflecting physical attacks.
I chose force since I thought this would be most appropriate..
Yes, it would be Summoning/Force/Self, or fethala azretavu, since you are summoning a shield, a shield is not natural (although it could be if you wanted to be creative, but if we're talking metaphysical, then you are correct), and you would be summoning it for yourself.
putting your character in a position he couldn't possible solve for himself.
I will say that it is encouraged to drive team-oriented situations like that (where you would need someone else to work with you), but that you should mention or talk about it here, first. If you don't, it may have more of a chance of being missed while people post and you're left in an awkward situation.
Well, what's basically going to happen is that we are, along with the other revolutionaries, going to break through the main wall in to the fortress and then deeper and deeper in to the whole facility.
Good, that's what I was aiming for. I can't wait until this really gets going, there's so many places I want to visit.
Edit~
Some critical important information you should read before posting:
I just realized some things that I failed to explain, like the lack of soldiers in the outlying area of Nyord Sardi. The uprising was planned in relative secret. The soldiers of Aboron, the Standing Army, are spread about the county, although a small contingent remains in the barracks at the first gate of Nyord Sardi.
The Aboronian Royal Guard, whose barracks are within the fortress, will be the opponents of freedom this fight. Revel in your conquering of the nobility, but be wary that the Royal Guard could be at the ready soon.
The story has begun. Take careful note of where we are all starting, the steppes before the fortress, where many of the nobility's homes are placed. There is a great distance between us and the walls of Nyord Sardi.
We have not yet come together. How it happens is to be organic and is up to all of you. Make it believable, passionate, and true to your characters, they are depending on you to tell their tales.
Oh, yes, certainly. I believe that is one of the things which will make it entertaining- developing more of what we are as we go along, since that's how life is. It will require a lot of creativity and strength of will to remain loyal and realistic to your characters, but I believe all of you can do it.
just a creepin. haha. im not very good with the whole rping story thing.
You sure? Never a better time to start wasting time, as I always say.
I hope this RP stays up for a long time, I'd really hate to see all the work you've done go to waste.
I really hope so, too. I'm planning it to be long-term, and that means that there will be strategic story places where it will be easier to introduce new characters and leave old ones behind.
Could use 1 or 2 more people.... oh well, hopefully people take notice of it, and want to get in on the action.
Yeah. Just one more human and we'd have a balanced group, I think.

(And meta-gaming, what Jetrall said :P)
(And take note of the edited-in part in my post above yours if you haven't already :D)
