My steam is AlphaLinkX if anybody wants to add me. :-P
(Just say who you are, because with this being a public site, if I don't know who it is, I won't add you. Lol.)
Anyway, I meant to kill the Wall last night and before that the night before, but I am going to get TNT, destroy the underworld buildings (So that I can run from the Wall as it chases and I am not blocked by a huge ass building trying to open a door, lol) and kill that wall.
Well that makes more sense, the Blood Butcher is 22 damage, which is a big increase over the platinum sword, but you are not in a Crimson world so you can't get the Blood Butcher, you get the Lights Bane instead.
I got the Fiery Greatsword right now. I need to make a Blade of Grass so I can combine it all together and make a Nights Edge before I go hard mode.
I liked the Brain of Cthulhu more then the Eater of Worlds. Brain was more of a challenge imo.
But yea, hey, are we going to play multiplayer?
(And grab the sword before the axe. Or get the hamaxe if possible but sword first. Axe is only used for cutting trees down and you only need like an iron axe for that honestly. [The aforementioned part does not count for The Axe as that is commonly considered a weapon, due to the insane damage.)
EDIT: AAAGH! I hate this game, now. Built that Suspicious Eye thing, then went looking for a good spot to face the Eye of Cthulhu. Was terraforming it to my liking when something like "The goblin army comes from the west" appeared. Dafuq? So, like a moth to a flame, I started walking east, to see what that was about. Big mistake. Spent like 30 minutes killing a zillion goblins, died like 30 times, total bullshit. DURING that, that message that signals the coming of Cthulhu appeared. I didn't even use the Suspicious Eye!! So, right after I was done with the goblins, that stupid thing came along. Gaaah! Killed them all, but damn......I was nowhere near geared enough for those goblin bastards. The Eye was easy, though, just set it on fire with arrows, and wailed on him with a flintlock.
Screw you, Terraria.
When you have over 200 health, you have a 33% chance each night of the Eye coming if you haven't killed him yet. As for the Goblin Army, that's just bad luck for a low level?
But yea, kill the eye like 5 times. You will either get Crimtain ore or Demonite ore, depending if you have a Corrupt or Crimson world respectively. Melt that ore down and make a sword, a pick axe, a bow, and an axe. Save the rest for when you kill either the Eater of Worlds or the Brain of Cthulhu, respectively.
I personally want to fight the Frost Legion. I think that would be fun as hell!
(Oh, and if a Blood Moon rises, just hide until you get better gear and health. Seriously. No offense or anything but just hide.)
I remember getting screwed by the Goblin army in the first playthrough as well, and having a Blood Moon (iirc the name) right afterwards.. died probably as many times as you did, if not more.
Which Weapon/Armor level are you wearing? Did you farm Floating Islands and the Jungle? Have you reached the Underworld (with lava everywhere) and farmed the crap out it and the Dungeon?
If yes, then you're probably ready for Hardmode (I think you gotta defeat the Wall of Flesh to unlock it).
I actually skipped the Jungle. Fucking hate the Jungle. HATE IT! I also did the Dungeon after Hell. o.o; But I wanted Molten Armor. Mmm, yummy molten armor...
Anyway, I kill the Wall of Flesh tonight (HOPEFULLY! KNOCK ON WOOD!)
I keep dying in the dungeon, it's pissing me off. It's not because they are tough, they just fucking swarm me.
I will say the Minishark and the Magic Missle are helluva fun though. And the 33% chance to not use ammo is nice. My 4k ammo lasts like it's 6k. <3 And the Magic Missle, come on, you know that shit is fun.
I would expect that as long as the host had a good computer and good speed, it would rely on each individual player on his or her internet and computer.
Granted I don't know how Terraria is coded so that could be complete bullshit.
I'm such a noob, I have no idea what you're talking about, LinkX
I'd love to play together with some of the people here, but those damned time differences keep getting in the way. It'd have to be a pretty strict schedule. And I'm terrible at those (am I right, Jamoose?)
I'd probably be available between 6 and 11 on my time zone, excluding going and hanging with friends. (I finally have those! Yay me!)
Also, look up some of the stuff I said on our very own Curse Terraria Wiki.
I was going to be part of the Terraria group, but if memory serves correctly it fell through before it took off.
Either that or I took another vacation from dfans. Lol.
Anyway, I got a Blizzard in a Balloon, Cloud in a Bottle, and Spectre Boots. Not as good as straight up wings, but it's fun triple jumping then flying around for a bit. :-)
Exploring the Dungeon now. :-D
I'll be in Hard Mode before long.
Edit: This is awesome and deserves more views.
Watch it, now!
Edit #2: Additionally, if we make a guild server, I might suggest using a large world.
I also miss when we were Diablo3.com, and when we had Speedvision, and when we had like 30 or 40 people, and they were active, and there were not 50,000 more people on the site that, frankly, I don't give a fuck about (Edit: No offense to anybody that may or may not be offended by that), and Diablo 3 hadn't been released, and we were all hopeful that it would be awesome. Things change. Sad Link is sad...
If only I made an account back when I was lurking D: I think most of the people that joined Dfans was when teasers started to be released for D3. Not to mention the crap tonne of accounts that would have been made for the beta key contests and stuff.
Yea, I had won a Beta Key. I realized after beating the beta that it was fun, but it wasn't Diablo. That realization made me sad.
Oh yeah I've only seen it on youtube... Is it officially out yet? I was pretty excited for it, it looks good.
It's been out. It's helluva fun, even if I had to start from scratch. I got my Hellevator pretty far, though.
Started a new world, got Crimson instead of Corruption. I killed the Brain of Cthulhu. He was a tough sob, far harder then any pre-hard mode boss from 1.0 or 1.1.
15k posts? Holy nephalem! I'm a bit sad I wasn't around back in the day would be awesome to be a diablofans veteran
You know... I joined in '08 but I still feel like the new guy on the forums. xD

I just played D3 recently for the first time in months and couldn't have been more bored. And doing that made me wanna check in to this place again but all the people I remember are mostly gone. No one really visits the off-topic or general discussions anymore either it seems.
Mostly it's all just threads about character builds, how much DPS or GF players can get. Yeah this place, like the D3 game is a sad affair. You wanna see a kickass community for a game that's going to be something truly amazing, check out Star Citizen. Seriously.
D3.com was my first actual forum. I doubt I'll find something that can recreate that wonder. :-(
On a side note, I played D3 the other day. Spent about 5 minutes on it. Remembered why I didn't play it in general. Turned it off.
I'll probably try it again here in another few months...
Oh, and has anybody seen the new update on Terraria? Nom nom nom!

I KILLED THE WALL OF FLESH! HARD MODE, BITCHES
Edit: Typos suck.

I wanna see 1.2's hard mode!
Edit: Also, I finally got a Platinum Coin!
Booya!

Down is hell. If you have either Crimson or Shadow armor, dig down. Molten armor awaits!

Gotta find a doll of the Guide...
Lt. Venom, imagine you combine Minecraft, Snes Zelda, and Super Mario Bros 3 all together, then add some awesomesauce.
That's Terraria.

Also, yay, 400 health. Woot.
Also, I'm off today, my friends are being assholes, and I'm bored as fuck, so I'm up for anything. :-P
I am so glad the Great Deku Tree let us have internet finally...

Eye of Cthulhu, Brain of Cthulhu, and Skeletron down, Wall of Flesh up next!
Are you guys starting a Terraria group?

Very sad.
