Ooops... yeah... I just realize I never bumped this Well, I guess by now whoever is interested in it knows that I keep this up-to-date, and I didn't see a reason to spam this everywhere on all forums and Reddits and stuff. But thanks for the pointer, maybe there's someone out there who didn't notice the update yet
Every class can do Bossmode - easily. It's just about the question "when". With Marauders being the free set, I think WD and DH are basically on par - the only difference being that WD is about an hour faster at level 70. But once you are farming T6, WD is one of the slowest classes, so the DH will take over here. It's funny: WD is the best class for the first 3 hours of the season (level 1-70) and the best at the end (main damage dealer in high GR clears). But for everything in between it... sucks. (And I say this as someone who has played most seasons as WD).
As for the conquests, all of them are infinitely easier in groups. Unless it is anyone's passion to "play solo", I urge everyone to group up with others. It will make the 6x GR55s easy as hell. I personally am only playing S10 if at least one of my friends is playing. This season solo is gonna be a terrible experience, but in a group you'll get the 6 required sets very soon - as well as get the conquests much easier. This is a non-solo player season. Last season was for solo players. Unless a solo player fancies the portrait (which is freaking ugly) or doesn't have the stash tab yet, sitting this one out might not be the worst thing to do.
Also good to know that nothing changed but a few bosses. It's gonna make the transition much easier for me.
Two conquests are fine - the 3 gems to 65 you're gonna pick up "along the way" (as it's less than 3 gems to 70 for Guardian), and Boss Mode is actually one of my favorite conquests. Really easy and rewarding teamplay.
If you just want to go for Conqueror, definitely go for Boss Mode and the rank 65 gems. Those conquests are BY FAR the easiest and least time-consuming in S10. Going for Guardian and doing any other 3rd conquest will definitely take a bit more time this season (unless you're super experienced with Sprinter and can one-shot this one; but for anyone who has never done this, Sprinter can take up to an entire day if you make mistakes and/or get unlucky). Of course doing the set dungeons or 6x GR55 is simply time consuming due to the fact that you need 8 or at least 6 sets, respectively. It's not about leveling the second class (that takes 10 minutes of powerleveling) but getting all the gear, changing build, doing the dungeon/GR and so on.
As for the tracker update, I definitely intend to update the tracker - but I don't have ANY data for the conquests past chapter 4. Not sure if I have time to do the season journey on PTR, so if anyone has screenshots of all those up to Guardian that would be great. I'll prepare the new version then (it'll go live once S9 is over).
Yeah, I thought about that. I could actually run statistics on how far are people in the Season Journey, how many have it completed (assuming they all check the stuff honestly). and so on.
Currently I store *nothing* on my server. Absolutely nothing. I don't even have Google Analytics or anything running. The reason for this are the EU privacy laws or whatever they're called; as soon as I store stuff I'd have to show this annoying "accept the cookies blabla" button. I've recently switched all my websites to not use cookies or Google Analytics anymore, just to be on the safe side and not violate any user's right. The cost of this is that I lose certain functionality, such as this.
I see a few people every now and then who might take over the Tracker business, and I still hope Blizzard implements their own API for it, so I don't have to do this anymore. But if in 2-3 seasons the tracker is still being used and no other tracker has become more popular, I might invest some time in new features. Currently I have no plans on upgrading it, I'm just keeping it up-to-date and fix critical bugs if necessary. I'm just doing this for own personal interest in occasional web development, not to earn money or anything; I know many people actually want to monetize stuff like this (and I could probably gain quite a few bucks by running ads, which I'm not gonna do, no worries). Maybe one of those more financially invested people will be able to provide a better service that takes over eventually.
Yup noticed that something was off. Might fix that tomorrow if I have time, now going to bed. It's just missing one item in Chapter 2, the transmog. Meh
Season Journey now updated to S9 on the Tracker. Required some major changes that messed up some of my scripts, but I did some quick tests and it should all be fine. As usual, let me know if you find any mistakes.
As I'm sure you are already preparing the S9 tracker, why not introducing a button "Show next season journey (beta status)"
Because it's not ready yet ;-)
Since they changed a few more things this time, and the total number of items per chapter differs, I'll have to do a more thorough testing and rewrite the logic a bit before releasing the S9 version. I'm not sure when I'll have time to do that. As soon as it's done I'll see if I can add that beta button. Should've done it a long time ago so people on PTR can cross-check, but this time of the year usually lacks one thing: time.
Nice idea! I renamed the Keywardens + Machines. You're actually right, I think for many people it's not immediately obvious which machine refers to which act.
I strongly recommend though to search for help in public communities. You will very likely find a group that is able to do them on T13, and all they want is you to bring the machines. In a full group, if everyone brings a full set of machines, it means that you get 3 Organs guaranteed from each Uber fight, resulting in 12 Hellfire Amulets after a full run. If you do the bare minimum (T1 for Slayer uber fights) you'll only get one Organ.
Where do I get the description? Well, finishing the journey and reading it myself ;-) I've done Guardian in each Season pretty much as soon as possible (usually on Saturday/Sunday, currently I would be done but due to the Conquest bug can't see past Destroyer). As for the changes, Diablo CM Tyvlar shared them with me on Reddit a week before the season, so I was able to update it before Season start instead of frantically having to interrupt my Season opening weekend playing session ;-) However, there are always small errors and mistakes in there (both in communication and coding), but by now I think they've all been discovered, as you can see by following the discussion in this thread.
About the longer descriptions: I've thought about it, but it would make it extremely verbose and a lot of work. I don't have Internet right now (currently on mobile), so it's not gonna happen anytime soon, and I'm not really sure it's worth it. Basically, the Tracker was initially really just a tool to keep track of your status, not a replacement of a Blizzard game guide (I'd be much happier if they'd just provide their own tracker tool). If I was to make such a change, I'd rather add explanations and tips to each steps which help more than the elaborate description (see screenshot). For example, there's a lot of time that can be saved if you carefully plan each season, which allows you to get the stash tab in ~20-25 hours and Guardian in ~30 hours if you're really determined, well-prepared, and have an experienced group of players.
But that being said: I'll think about it! Thanks for the feedback :-)
EDIT: Finally! Season Journey is fixed. Guardian finished. Had a quick glance, everything seems to be correct.

But thanks for the suggestion!
Ah yes, a caching mistake, but also fixed now; CTRL+F5 and it should work.
It's fixed now.

Correct! Copy-pasta mistake. Fixed.
The second one is a socket. No idea how that got mixed up, thanks

Hi Carel,
Nope, it's not a mistake; it's really T1 and then T10. No idea why. Here are screenshots:
