Could Blizzard just please give Grinding Gears Games 100 million from the 700 million and just buy their game out then use alll the ideas and asset to make a game that will echo thru the ages, aleast can blizzard steal the end game map idea, find a map, one time use, can be sold, portal to anew, themed, random, boss filled ,kill the big boss get a legendary, if you blow it its gone, type of thingy.
Now that would be something to hunt for!!
You have a point though. PoE was designed from scratch to cover all of the complaints people had about D3, but unfortunately they forgot to actually make a functionally fun game at the same time. D3s best quality is the gameplay, its 2nd to none by a wide margin, and PoE has a lot of features that would go great in D3.

Dude get your facts straight. Both games are in development for around the same time.
PoE was in development already before they even announced D3 to the public.
Big difference is...GGG tried to keep the complex gameplay / build diversity / fun skills / mob density etc ARPGs had back in the days, while Blizzard dumbed it down so much, that even a retarded monkey can play it blindfolded without any problems.
yeah right...i guess thats the reason why from the 15 million sold copies are only around 1 million players left.
The epic & quality gameplay.
Dont get me wrong, i am not a D3 hater...but they done a LOT of mistakes, and everybody is aware of that.
I am actually looking forward to the changes they gonna implement...like monster density, legendary revamp, ID all and such...
Seems they finally listening....and it only took them a fired Lead Designer and around a year to realize that.
PoE has nice ideas and features whatsoever the main aspect of the game which is combat is way too horrible.
Diablo 3 is going through hard phase and at the moment it's far away from our expectations but combat is way too fluent and graphics are awesome so you can't compare these games.
When D3 becomes what everyone are expecting, it will pretty much be the one RGP that people will play.
Gotta say great job to path of exile team, sadly they don't have enough money and such to get such a great engine as D3 has.
