And I don't think there are many games out there right now that are more novice-friendly than Diablo 3. Just start the game and have fun. There's no decisions at any point that will be "irreversible", so just enjoy the game and don't think too much about stats, specs, skills, strategy (there is none) - just good old hack'n'slay.
I don't know how you ended here... I mean its harder to find a fansite and create an account than findind this kind of information..
