The Next Gen MMO is a Top Secret project and i heard in one of the battle.net forums that is going to be a new universe, so people please stop being retarded, and saying that Diablo 3 is the next Gen MMO
WoW graphic is already obsolete, and has been for a while, so ofcourse they'll have to either replace WoW with a WoW2, or create a different MMORPG- As said before: D3 is NOT that game.
Several MMOs have updated their game and graphic engines with either expansions or free content updates, and with the revenue WoW is generating right now, I think they'd be wise to hold off on a WoW 2, and are developing an mmo in a different setting. While getting people to sub to both a new mmo and WoW at the same time is unlikely, it still seems more likely than getting people to sub to both WoW and Wow 2 at the same time.

Out of the current games Blizzard has done, Starcraft would make the most sense since there are no good sci-fi MMO's out right now. If it was a completely new game that would be cool too.
might be a completely new game. but since this is a business its probably most defiantly world of warcraft 2. they are starting it now so when wow starts dying down they can release a new one. taking a chance on a completely new title is a risk. wow 2 is a guaranteed success. this probably wont even be anounced for another 3 years or so.
