SC2 is sure to blow the socks off the rest of the PC gaming market; MW2 is nothing. You thought millions of sweaty teenagers lined up for that 3peat, wait until SC2 hits the shelves. It wil be the true return of PC gaming.
People fail to realize that PC gaming is NOT dead, blizzard is just sleeping.
Who else remembers when SC:BW and D2LOD and WCIII AND WOW were all top hits?
You used to be able to type a random string of keys "asdfadfhadfgsDFASFDH" as the gamename in d2, and it would already exist!!
or a run would say "dankbaal-002" 1 person. When you join, it would be full.
Remember having to wait anxiously for hte joingame list to refresh? Now its just 15 games, 8 bots and 7 people looking for ptorches.
Again, I hate to side with the "bad guys" here....but
This is a game many of us bought a decade ago.
We haven't put a dime into it since.
We're getting more free content. I've never heard of a company updating their games, for FREE, this far along after the release.
Take your time Blizzard..thanks again for all the hard work you put into your games.
Meh...we've just gotta kill time til the patch is released....
Ya but if you look at the sales charts, D2 & LOD is still selling very well. I think it's the same people buying it over and over although sometimes I do see newbies playing d2 even today. The game is still profiting blizzard, so they will continue to support it.
Just out of pure curiosity, could you perhaps provide one of these charts? I've been looking for an actual chart for this kind of stuff for a while to no avail -.-'
It's Blizzard, they've been making a deal about this patch for years. Before Bashiok collected ideas, NickJS was collecting ideas, back when Tech Support was in charge of moderating the forums. I guarantee they'll have something other than bug fixes to show for.
I don't think the Diablo II suggestions/concerns were for Diablo II developers. You'll note that EVERY one of those suggestions made it into Diablo III.
I'm not that eagerly waiting for the patch, so I don't personally mind. When the patch comes, I'll start playing D2 again (if there's something neat coming).
But to me, Blizzard is still and will always be the number one gaming company on the planet (and on the other planets too).
Balance, bug and glitches is enough and they have a big work to do because the game is extremly not balanced well.
Other question ?
What is FG system ?
Balance bugs and glitchs is not enough for this patch to be worth the wait IMO and id say most of the population agrees this isnt enuff....even a few new items would be nice,...
Ok, so they took away all the features I was looking forward to...fine. I'll still play it whatever is has in it.
What upsets me the most about this is the apparent lack of respect for their hardcore fan bases. They only have one legacy team to work on ALL the old games? Why not just put a team together just for this and make them work on it until its done? They are a large company and surely could afford to hire a small group of people to get this done in a timely (3 years?) manner. Quit being cheap and just get the job done!

Just because the inventory you find that not enough ? Blizzard waste time to do this f***ing not neccessary feature that so many people wanted.
If they doesn't try to satisfied those people, the patch would be already released. So they try and fail, so stop to crying please. Now I hope Blizzard will take care about the real important thing, the BALANCING !! I look forward to see finally the game balanced after 9 years...
Yes maybe some new items would be nice, but first I would have to love to see many items I never see... All runeword is so lacked and unbalanced... I want see low level runeword and more good low level items and less high level overpowered items.
It's why I said Blizzard have big work to do for balancing this desorganized game.
All I hope for in the new patch is for the cow level to give good experience like it used to... then I will be satisfied!
Oh , if blizzard intend to do that, it's been a while that the patch would be released. Exp it's only a variable...
We continue to plan a release based on our best intentions.
This is no good to me. If their best intentions were to bring out the patch, they would have. Instead they just work on it when they feel like it. I don't see why we are not treated equally in comparison to the other games they have. I mean they released a patch for Warcraft III already and they're working on another one, leaving the 1.13 patch on hold for the second time. How would you feel If I was talking to you about an important project and telling you to shut up in the middle of the conversation to talk to my 3 year old daughter on the phone about her newest drawing? Starting the conversation 1 more time and then when you're about to speak, ask you to stop right now cause my little sugar apple at home made poopy in the kitchen.... ? Ya that's what I thought ^_^. Ya I'm pretty pumped right now about this blasphemy.
I strongly agree! Imagine if we got a questionnaire.
Blizzard Questionnaire!
1: Do you feel that Blizzard isn't treating it's fan bases equally and fairly?
Yes, I feel as if almost all the attention is going towards WoW, and the rest is going towards Starcraft. Us Diablo Fans are almost always the last to get attention, and when we finally do, it keeps getting interrupted and we get nowhere.

I agree with you and I really think that we should press on the matter. Lets all start a poll with that question and see what comes out of it.
For my part, I think that empty promises can hurt as much as founded threats... blizz, you better make up for it or else I'm gonna blackmail your bipolar programmer someday!!

Well, i bought a copy because they announced a major patch and bothered to poll the community. The battlechest used to be 20$, but after the patch was announced it jumped to 40$ because alot of people were buying it like I did. So no, they did get money from this patch. I know they got mine.
I guess i just want to say im pretty disappointed with the dely and the lack of new content. Lets just hope that the larger stash is now a shared stash, even if its only 5 or so tabs instead of the full 8.
Well. i dont see shared stash coming at all, but I would love it if Blizz were to make a liar out of me!
What could be better than that? They would have mentioned it by now if thats a feature. I mean, I would have said, "Well, we couldnt increase the stash size bleh bleh bleh, but we did make it shared, which increases the size sotospeak."
Im a little worried that we have seen everything, all of the features. Unless its something radical, I feel like the team would have thrown us whatever they had when they biffed the completion of Stash.
