If its alot of stuff, i think you should sell now... when we will get closer to the patch item prices will drop so...
I wish they could implement some kind of a FG system in the battle net... but i guess thats a feature we wont see in d2. Maybe d3.
True but I want to play until then lol. I'll sell off some of my stuff I guess. It'd be cool if they did implement a fg system but I don't think it will ever happen.

Can't believe they failed at making an increased stash size. Countless mods have achieved this, yet Blizz can't?
Like some others have said.. it's not necessarily that they can't do it. It's the fact that the server load would exceed capacity and that they won't spend the extra money to update servers for a 10-year-old game.
This is a scam! Patch 1.13 is a scam, instead of releasing the patch, they're gonna release D3 in a few weeks!! yay
Sincerely, newly retarded fan.
How would this be a scam lmao
Man im pretty pissed that its taking this long...a meaningful update being delay info is pretty annoying...No new content, no increased stash....what are they gonna change besides balance and glitches?
As angry as I am am about all the delays with the next patch and D3, I keep telling myself to remember Fable.
I followed Fable for YEARS, thinking about how awesome it was gonna be. When it finally came out... it sucked. Hard. Maybe to some people that hadn't followed it from it's infant stages it seemed like a good game. But if you went back and looked at what it was supposed to be, it just flat out wasn't. Why? Because they realized that what they had promised would take a looong time to do right. Instead of pushing the release date back and working to release their vision in all it's glory, they chopped the game to hell, and released the aborted version. Look up Project Ego (Fable's original name) and see what I mean. It will anger you.
That being said, I agree that Blizzard just creates hype then leaves us in the dark, but I just tell myself to be patient. If they release it too soon, it will be like Fable and fall into obscurity. No one wants that. I want a game that will be fun to play years from now, not some crap slapped together to make a deadline. It will be worth it in the end...
Well said, Fable teased up too far and release something unfinish and something that doesn't reach the hope they created to us.
Blizzard will reach the hope we have, just wait and be patient.

Balance, bug and glitches is enough and they have a big work to do because the game is extremly not balanced well.
FG = Forum Gold. I have an account on d2jsp. You can sell d2 items or items in other games for virtual money (forum gold) and then buy items with the gold you obtain. It's like trading for runes. You trade an item for runes and then sell the rune for something you need. It's just a currency. You just use forum gold instead of runes. You sell stuff for forum gold and then buy what you need with it.
If you're like me and don't play D2 consistently 'cause of work, school, etc., you can sell out in one ladder season, go MIA for a few months and then buy back in.

Thanks... great idea !! extremly good if it's implemented directly in-game. I so disliked trade in d2....
This might be a bit OT but I'll answer...basically, if you've ever used e-bay an auction house is like that. Players put items into a "market" and can set a bid price and/or an "buy it now" price. Other players then buy the items for gold. When items sell the money is sent to you and the auction house takes a cut for selling. WoW uses this system and I honestly have to say it is one of my favorite things about the game.
Had another thought on this. Someone at Blizz should really start thinking about how they prioritize their fan-bases.
If they botch a WC III patch or don't release one that's promised...
- All the old Mac users will cry a little on the inside.
- Everyone else will uninstall and go back to playing WoW.
If they botch a SC1 patch or don't release one that's promised...
- People will grumble and go back to waiting for SC2 while playing SC1 on bnet with friends.
If they botch a WoW patch/expansion (again)...
- People will complain to blizz with emails, phonecalls, and in-game yelling.
- They will also all keep paying $15/month to blizz, forever, no matter what.
If they botch a Diablo patch or don't release one that's promised...
- We will rise up with demons summoned from the lowest pits of hell and march to California with pikes and torches!
- Blood sacrifices must be made! Slaughter all those that stand against the burning ... fans.
Just saying... you'd think the 1 group you wouldn't want to anger is the crowd that plays the dark, bloody, gory, violent, mature rated game.

Well, you gotta wonder what the patch will be worth. No increased stash size, increased resolution, or added game content. Kinda kills the last bit of hope for a patch otherwise seemingly defunct even before its release. I mean, seriously? Even if it fixes issues that D2 still had (of which I'm largely unaware of), will it be reason enough to give the game another whirl? Maybe Blizzard are taking us all for a ride and have a surprise waiting. Anyway, other than that, this unlucky number 1.13 patch might be as exciting as the no-CD patch (was that 1.12?).
I still cant understand what half you ppl are talking about. higher resolution is their really any point in that. Its not gonna affect you game play or anything right unless you want to see monsters before u tele on top of them. Bigger stash... who cares shared stash would be way better. AND lets face it new end game content is just impossible since their coming out with d3. The only reason they would do that is if they wanted us to get more excited about d3 and face it half of our selves are about to piss ourselves from excitment so i dont think they need that. This patch has been right from the get go pointless. The only thing that would really matter to me would be if they nerfed HAMMERDINS.

Then, the question must be, what feature will patch 1.13 provide to justify the 6 months of development?
i guess if they made all new skills for every single character that would be great or added a new uber quest. But it seems to me the only reason its taking so long is not because of problems with this patch its all Warcraft 3 fault
Of course getting rid of stashes would deter more of the lag. Less stuff they have to store  Less transactions with their database. Of course, any lag experienced from this only occurs when someone in your game is accessing their stash.
You're in to dueling, though? We have a new subforum for PvP in D2 under the Diablo II forum if you want to check it out It's new, though. Not much there yet.
Blizzard is a company who has not released a new game since 2003. I don't know any other game development company out there in the world who is actually still in business to have done this.
With that said, they should concentrate on getting their next title out. The announcement of D3 should have come along with the announcement to end of any development of D2. They are a good hearted company and are doing this for the fans, but as I see it and they likely see it at this point its just not worth it.
SC2 is sure to blow the socks off the rest of the PC gaming market; MW2 is nothing. You thought millions of sweaty teenagers lined up for that 3peat, wait until SC2 hits the shelves. It wil be the true return of PC gaming.
People fail to realize that PC gaming is NOT dead, blizzard is just sleeping.
Who else remembers when SC:BW and D2LOD and WCIII AND WOW were all top hits?
You used to be able to type a random string of keys "asdfadfhadfgsDFASFDH" as the gamename in d2, and it would already exist!!
or a run would say "dankbaal-002" 1 person. When you join, it would be full.
Remember having to wait anxiously for hte joingame list to refresh? Now its just 15 games, 8 bots and 7 people looking for ptorches.

just my three cents
Do you know how much $ Blizzard made with WOW ?!

Again, I hate to side with the "bad guys" here....but
This is a game many of us bought a decade ago.
We haven't put a dime into it since.
We're getting more free content. I've never heard of a company updating their games, for FREE, this far along after the release.
Take your time Blizzard..thanks again for all the hard work you put into your games.
Meh...we've just gotta kill time til the patch is released....
Does anyone else notice that when Blizz puts out a game, it blows EVERYONE outta the water?
They can afford to put out a new game every 5 years if they want, because that game will sell, and make them cash hand over fist, for that 5 year period.
It's called quality, and dedication to their fanbase.
