Although each class is available in both male and female forms, Blizzard chooses a specific gender to use to portray the class. The Barbarian, Monk and Witch Doctor are all portrayed as males while the Wizard is the only class portrayed as a female.
I think to help balance out the line-up, Blizzard will choose to represent the last class primarily with its female version. If they do this, I think that the last class would have to be distinctly different from the rogue of D1 and the Amazon of D2 to help it stand out even more.

If memory serves me right but we did see the female Barb during the first trailer. I can not recall seeing the female WD. The female Barb was towards the end when it was showing Multiplayer.
I think they will show both sexes at the release of the last class.

Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.

Female WD was in the first gameplay trailer as well, they had M/F of both classes take on the boss I believe. I think the last class will be portrayed as female (the story will be in her perspective) just as the Wizard. We'll probably not have to wait months and months to see the opposite sex, hopefully.
I do not see Blizzard set a date too far in advance. If the game is to be finished by the early 2011 then I can see it being posted at Blizzcon. My guess that the game will not be released until 2012.

my best guess is Q2-Q3 of 2011 same time as starcraft 2 will be released this year, cept in 2011. Its a logical time to release a game, you know right before holiday season. They willg et the most sales then.
Anyway i think the last class will be portrayed as a female, it would be unbalanced if it was another male.
I expect the return of the original Diablo 1 class. Mainly because there is no ranged class at this point in the game, and it wouldn't make sense to release Diablo 3 without one. I have my chips on a Ranger and/or Archer, something of that nature. Not an amazon though.
I don't think they will announce a release date at all, just a guess.
Look at SC2, still no 'release date', just a "we hope it will be out by mid-summer".
SC2 is an entirely different beast though. If they don't get the balance right they'll have all the rabid Koreans after them trying to behead them. Diablo 3 doesn't need perfect balance because it isn't intended to be an esport.
I'm in the rogue camp as far as what I think the next class will be.
That said, an idea has occurred to me. Is it possible that someone who was once one class may find their way into another? For example (and this is my idea). Lets say the last class is the paladin, but with a twist. After the fall of Kurast back in D2, the Paladins fell on hard times. Zakarum probably isn't very much loved, and neither do they wish to re-align themselves with that past. Instead they take to exile. Exiled Knights, living in the forest as Rangers and protectors to people who no longer see them the way they used to and who no longer look up to them as Knights in Shining Armor. They take up the bow, and the hunt.
Just a thought. Probably nothing.
Oh, and I'll bet it will be female. 3 males, 2 females, thats how D2 did it.

IMO the 5th class will be a Ranger. If the Barbarian is the only returning class, and a bow-using character is a must, then a Ranger will fill the requirement.

Paladin will probably be back at some point. Too many people like it to not have him in at all.

We may get the release date announced this year but that doesn't mean the game will come out this year. Early/mid 2011 maybe?
I hope you're wrong :|
