Diablo just isn't the type of game that warrants a healer class. Games like Guild Wars and WoW, yes. But not Diablo.
Mainly because it just isn't as tactical as other games. Most players are responsible for their own healing (though, with potions gone, this may change). Also, remember Holy Bolt and Prayer, the two healing skills back from Diablo II?
How often did you see a Paladin primarily using those two skills?

Doubt it. If healing is an integral part of a party's success, then that means a party without a healer cannot work. If healing isn't necessary, no one will pick the healer class. Classes will always be self sufficient - the only two party healing spells were Prayer and Holy Bolt, both largely useless and ignored.
This doesn't rule out the possibility of a class that has a skill tree dedicated to party support spells like Auras or curses, many abilities that were seen in Diablo 2 were party support auras and shouts.

I may differ on that..
in games like WoW and S.U.N I have played the healer class, however, mainly pvped... did I just heal during pvp? No, I simply made it to make me better...
I see retribution (pretty much all out melee) paladins heal all the time in WoW
I see Ether (pretty much highly offensive mage) Elemental heal for that HP..
And I think that Blizzard might change how self sufficient diablo may be, like, for more fun in pve.. as people said it was the same thing over and over again... maybe bosses might make it kinda more difficult to do those things over.. and over again
I think in a mmo game with a lot of different classes a healer is a great idea. But in a game with 5 different classes that still needs to be doable on single player a healer would be pointless. The game would have to be insanely harder to warrant a class devoted to healing and if that were to happen single player would be nearly impossible.
"I'm looking forward, also, to a superb, unexpected storyline, told by good cinematics and cutscenes. The hulking angel(?) on the homepage tells me I'm probably not gonna be disappointed. And an earth-shattering final boss confrontation with the Lord of Terror himself"
could potentially be a good start for a healer..
and honestly, in diablo 2, I never remember working solo, maybe for farming, and even then, it doesn't have to be 100% healing, you remember how the skill system is supposed to work?
put 5 in the first part(s) and then you can go on the to the next tier of any tree..
having something like WoW with a nice balance
Holy (healing pure) Discipline (kinda a mixture of healing and dmg) and Shadow (pure dmg) however, I highly doubt they will put those names, but something around those lines

I played single player for years before I even tried battlenet, I had really slow dial-up, and I know some people still play exclusively in single player. I'm not saying that some healing skills wouldn't be helpful on each class but for one class to have enough healing spells to be called a healing class, then that class would be completely unpractical in single player.
I did make a Martyr Din in D2. I used Sacrifice skill with Prayer as the aura of choice. I was playing HC with the character. I had fun with him. I believe this was during the LoD 1.08.

WoW and Diablo are entirely different genres. It would as if saying base building is fun in Starcraft, so why isn't there base building in The Lost Vikings?
I'm not saying classes won't have a few abilities to heal themselves or others, but I doubt the class will have even an entire tree dedicated to it, let alone their entire class be a focused healer.

The 5th class is going to be a rogue, anywho.
if the fifth class is a rogue and not a ranger, I won't even play lol

A entire class dedicated to healing only existed in the old school mmos.
In wow priest have enough offensive skills even in the Holy tree to do any solo quest in the game (the most support focused one). In other recent mmo's like age of conan, aion, warhammer the same thing happens: healer classes have enough offensive skills to solo what they need and even duel against other classes w/o a problem.
When someone says a healer class it doesn't mean that class will not be able to solo the game and only plays by healing others. It's mean that class have some healing skills and when he/shes on a party she will help their friends by healing then (and this doesn't mean he/she will not help in the offensive side to).

The difference between WoW and Diablo, in terms of the feasibility of healing, is that most of WoW's content that means anything in terms of loot is only accessible through groups that have healers in it. If *any* of Diablo's content required healing, it would ruin a lot of the content for players who simply did not have a healer, or played single player. The same is not true of WoW, where joining a group is expected and required for later, end-game content, due simply to the online nature of the game.
If healing was not a necessary tool for groups in Diablo 3 (which it never will be), Blizzard would not devote an entire tree or class to it simply because it would be largely useless and, frankly, boring. I have no doubt in my mind that all the classes will have sufficient ways to heal themselves, and some classes may even have one or two abilities to heal each other, but do not expect any kind of serious healing focus of any kind.
Edit - And if any of the classes were going to be serious healers, it would have already been the Monk.
This doesn't rule out the possibility of a class that has a skill tree dedicated to party support spells like Auras or curses, many abilities that were seen in Diablo 2 were party support auras and shouts.
we don't know what the game will be, so we can't say no healing spell is needed (balancing: boost monsters and you will need a healer, so it's not an argument)... And it's obvious a healer don't have only healing spell.... buff, aura...

Not true. Just cuz you buffed the monsters doesn't mean you need to buff the healing. You could give the chars more health, more defense, more damage so they could kill faster. There are other ways.
And like it was said before, Blizzard already announced there won't be a healing class.

I do not see really a need for healing skills due to healing globes and potions in emergencies. The only one I can see is self healing or leach if there is a skill that costs life to use.

I meant buff monsters to having healing not buff... And I already know that you can play with all variables, I don't know why you said that ?
Anyway I don't like the name healer, because a class need ~30 very unique/different skills + runessss effects.... It's can't be only "healing" spell... we talk about 1 or 2 (like single healing and groupe or an aura..) they have many other buffs and auras...
I think the fifth class can be a ~rogue (archer/hunter) with a skills tree for auras or something like that...
