With everyone agreeing of an archer class rounding up the cast, what will it look like?

My opinion:
First and most importantly is to figure out the region the class will be coming from. With the desert being such a large area and now class hailing from there yet, my bet is that the last class will be from there. This means that the overall appearance of the class will probably be middle-eastern. Darker complexion, maybe some scruff facial hair.

Next is overall armor appearance. With the monk, WD, and Wiz all having the appearance of lighter armor, I think that the last class's look will rely more on mid-grade armor. Chain-mail disbursed with white linen is what I am picturing. Sort of a crusader look. He will use skull caps as his main look for a helmet.

If final class is from the desert it will likely be light armor since any thing heavier will be to taxing to the body in the heat.

If the class is from the plains or on the outskirts from a desert then I can see heavier armor. I see the charactor wearing heavy armor since Barb wears medium heavy armor. I have not seen any images of the Barb with a full plated metal armor like the Paladin or the Amazon of D2.

Is this heavy enough for you. It's not full metal but I think they are trying to keep the rugidness of the barb.


I definitely think the barb will be the most "armored" looking class. I especially don't think that an archer would wear heavier gear than the barb.

No that is not heavy enough. The Barb is not meant for heavy armor since they are trained to take damage and to be more mobile to be more effective in combat.

I see the last class be using a bow or xbow for ranged and when monster is in range to use shield and a melee weapon(1-handed spear or short sword). The class will mostly use defensive attack skills with either weapon or shield. Some attack skills may require to be hit or blocked to be used.

Yes.

I would call the class Master at Arms. I think the xbow would be the ranged weapon of choice.

I see them able to use a 2-handed spear in handed just like a Barb can use a 2-handed sword in one hand.

I would really like this to be the look of the new class, can't say I would be a fan of the class wielding a two handed melee weapon though. A big fat two-hander just screams Barbarian to me I guess.

Why not. Spears/Polearms in my opinion fit that class better than the Barb. I do agree with the other 2-handed weapons.

There is also the possibility of the ranged class be more of a robin hood looking character. I would love if hoods became a helm type.

I think it would be possible. I think capes and robes would be nice as well.

Personal taste mostly. I wouldn't mind seeing a small shield still equipable while using these weapons.
(a spartan with a shield and spear comes to mind.... this class could even be better because they have already invented pants in the diablo world. so we can do without the leather man thongs)
