Everyone has been (in majority) thinking that the final class would be eother some ranged type, or some corrupt update (but not complete return) of a previous class, due to D2 possesing the return of the D1 classes.
I dont know about either, but after long thought, ONE thing finally poped in my mind. What if its the OPPOSITE? What if instead of some previous hero becoming corrupted and evolving, to end up fihgting again for god knows why, maybe to regain his past self? But why not flip it around?
WHAT IF its an old ememy or villian, EVEN IF we havnt seen him in a previous game, what if some group of people who followed the prime evils, and heck, even worshiped hell, turned around? What if they realized that the torture they endure serving the evils isnt worth it? What if they realize if the prime evils or lesser therefore, gain control of sanctuary, there will be more hell and pain living under complete tyrantship of evil?
As to WHAT the class would be, i dont yet have much idea, but for COCNEPT of the idea, think about the kind of people or "things" maybe the council were? What if they worshiped of fear, and after the evils were defeated and (stones) smashed, they run to the other side? Maybe a more human-esch tyoe of coucil member after 20 years away form evil?
Do you think this could be a good idea? And what KIND of actual class could it be?

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
I didnt mean neccesarily against, what I meant was against the general idea, people arent talking about an ex-demon worshiper archer lol, they mean the archer, amazon, mercenary type deal

And again, it may not n eccessarily be redemption, it may be a group that followed the evils out of fear, and beign gone for 20 years, theyve rebelled against them. Think of the communistic idea, some people serve under a world leader because of the fear, and knowing theyd be killed if they didnt, what if that elader was killed? It could set those people free.

If evil guys can corrupt good guys, why wouldn't the opposite work? Uncorrupting the bad guys to make them good again
Redemption is arealdy really rare and very difficult, but in the world of Diablo I doubt if it's even possible.
The closest to it that I know is Lachdanan and Izual. Lachdanan may not have even been corrupted in the first place, just cursed and trapped in D1's Hell- he did oppose the maddened and corrupted King Leoric. Izual was indeed corrupted. But note: to be redeemed, both had to be destroyed, and only their spirits remained.
That's a far cry from the fates of the Dark Wanderer, Blood Raven and Summoner.
I quess, but anything is a possibility. And tis just a thoery. Would be a suprise though, seems like no many people expect it or put any cards toward it...

im not saying from d2, or even an archer, im talking almost anything. The general idea, leaves room for a hybrid of almost any type with sonme dark magic ability somewhere

Couldnt a darker, or so-called redempted class be like some kind of character that can control demons to an extent? Like has anyone played Tekken Tag Tournament? The main boss char is "Unknown" which is basically a girl possesed by a giant wolf-type creature. Reverse it, what if there was a class that could posses or control demons with there movements? Slash a sword, and the demon attacks? Something like that? Could explain why they couldnt use any NPC to demo the character, how you going to do that with the skills?

That could be intereesting, but I think a differnet name would be used, on account of Knight sounding too physical, too melee, and we have two already.
Maybe a "Conjuror" who has the ability to summon demons and link his soul to theirs and control there actins. He swings his mighty fist, and the demons claw lurches at somone. Soething like that.

I'm a big fan of good guys who are redeemed and repentant bad guys, but I don't know if it works here.
