After looking at the skill trees, it looks like they have some more shortrange and melee based skills for the wizard, but - she is still limited to only mage style armor... and the base of her skills are almost all long range magic based attacks.. so you couldn't exactly run into a mob and start knocking heads off with a sword without dieing very quickly...
You really don't kno that.
First theres no info about how the armor gear will work for every class. But it's already confirmed that class specific armor will be avoided. So we don't kno if the wiz will be restricted to low defense robes.
Second, she have *alot* of spells to increase her defence. How do you kno if she uses all those spells and use those passives that increse vitality will not provide a good defence to her to a point that she can handle melee combat ?
Really, if the wizard can't handle melee it will be the most lame thing ever because 1/5 of her spells are cleary designed to melee combat.
The enchantress (melee sorc in D2) was very viable character with only a very feel melee oriented skills.
It's not bad spelling. Makes you look like an idiot for not knowing Outkast.
I know who Outkast is. And I think that Outkast, the band, is also kinda [sexual slur censored] for spelling outcast wrong. I know they didn't really spell it wrong because that's how they wanted to spell it. It's just, that's not how you spell it. That doesn't really make sense but hopefully you know what I mean.
To me, spelling something right just makes it more appealing.
That's why, and I know im not the only one, if I see someone post something and they're mispelling a lot of words, then I'll probably just ignore it thinking that guy is an idiot.
There is a massive difference in misspelling fixed general terms, and misspelling names, which are always subjective... Ludacris, Outkast, anything with "Lil" in it... Holly, hollie, holley, etc.. all names... Holly also being the name of a plant, if you are referring to aforementioned plant and spell it hollie, you spelled it wrong because it is a fixed term linked to a specific plant, but when you are referring to someone named hollie, it is right, because it is a name, an alias.. and the person who created said name decided subjectively to spell it that way. If my character has always been an OUTCAST in society, what is to stop him from spelling his alias "outkast" to further differentiate this alias from the common term?

Well Outkast isnt his name. Its a description. His friends don't go up to him and say, "Hey Outkast." Because it's not his name, it's just what he is. They would probably use his actual name like "Hey Dave" or "Hey Steve". If I spelled the character "Witch Doctor", differently, like "Wich Dokter", would that be correct? I don't think so.
So, Outkast is not the name of this proposed class?
I quit, you win.
I know what I want to say, I just can't think of how to put it. Im thinking and thinking and I just keep drawing a blank. So since I can't think of any argument, there's no way for me to win. So I'll just let it go.
The lore says the wizard considers herself to be a wizard... wizard being a previously defined and generally accepted term and spelling... this gentleman considers himself to not fit any previously named or defined archetype and therefore chose to refer to his class as an Outkast.. because he could... because witch doctor is also not a commonly used and defined class archetype, blizz could have spelled it Witch Docktor or something, and although it might not look good, who are we to argue with how someone else wishes to spell a fictional (or actual) name? it is, afterall, their choice and what they are naming belongs to them. If the witch doctor was an ACTUAL doctor, fitting into that particular set of traits/attributes/professions then spelling it with a k would be fallible.
You guys are absolutely retarded to even be discussing the spelling of the name that much. Does it really matter? I think it is a cool design idea for a character. It sounds like something that would be fun to play. By the way that levitate would work wonders for crossing that gap in the barb gameplay vid. haha

I've come for your children - Your first born
I'm the monsta - The boogieman
So mothers be warned - But you give them up gladly
I like it. It reminds me of the Enchantress in Diablo 2, but taking it one step farther.
Give the character less armour, somewhere between mage and barbarian, maybe where mages where cloth and barbarians wear plate, give this guy chain armour, lighter and more flexible, allowing them to dodge and attack more fluidly.
Where the Wizard teleports and fires from afar, and the Barbarian comes running in smashing things up, I could see this guy/girl sneaking in, kinda like Batman, and causing havoc without anyone realizing what's going on untill it's too late. Then if the guy/girl is caught in the open, whereas the Barbarian would take the hit and keep coming, this guy/girl I could see dodging, parrying, and slicing the enemy's leg with a frost-enchanted blade, slowing them down emensely, or slicing them accross the chest with an explosive poison, where they would jump back and the enemy would blow up, taking 2 or 3 others with them.
Ah, yes, which reminds me: If we see any more enchanting skills, I want one for every single element. I also want to see magic shields, like Shiver Armor and so forth, for every element with unique and diverse effects, and that they can be casted on other players as well as your own. I think that would be good for team play and make something like this more viable.
I think they should make a supernunjaspeed INTENSE AHHHHAHHAHHH KIKC UR MOTHER IN THE FACE WITH SPIKED MAGIC BOOTS CHARACTER WITH INTENSLY fasst spels and melle attks that pwns A FRACKEN 11 ON THE INTENSE PWNAGE SCAALE!!!!!!!!!!
no a battle mage sounds too, well, not kool in any way. a different name is needed. well anyways, how about a character that uses non-class specific attacks, like spirit energy (i no, i no, its basicly every anime stero-type) however it would be kool.

But yea, your class, not mine.
Still, I like it.
