The Angelic avenger class. Ranged attacks augmented with magic. Character comes from heaven. Think about this. AND THE HEAVENS SHALL TREMBLE. yes the heavens will tremble so whos to say that they cant have their own representative?? Its not just earth on the mortal side this time. Everyone has something to lose. This is completely different and yet it is not much different from the amazon. It just sounds a lot more fun.
Yes, a name with two words. But now we have the "witch doctor."
EDIT: Perhaps not the best name but i personally like the concept.
Much of the amazon since died... went to heaven and is imbued by Tyrial with angelic powers/ natural powers derived from heaven. Returns to the mortal realm to stop the prime evils from spilling over into the heavans. Still mortal.
its better but i see the ranged character more nature based or something maybe like a bandit could be cool and refreshing or a samurai because they used bows a lot... but then again people dont seem to like the idea of a samurai in diablo
how bout its like a human being possesed by an angel or something giving it the power of holiness or whatever mixed with its whatever powers it has? i think that sounds good. then it could be a representative from heaven just not actually in the flesh or whatever angels are made of.
One day, a mortal found a gateway portal that lead to the heavens, unknowingly. With his eyes filled with temptation, he quickly stepped through to see what awaited him on the other side. As he walked through the area around him, a door appeared in front of him. Both horrified and anxious, he opened it, finding a mysterious orb on a floating platform. With thoughts of power, he carelessly went up to it and touched it, believing he would be invincible. Thereafter doing so, although that orb did give him power, a great debt was also put on him to save Sanctuary, or his life won't be spared.
Didn't give it a lot of thought, but that's my version of his (or her) story.
I'd rather have a class like that with 2 skill tree's like the paladin had in Median XL mod for diablo 2.
A unholy and holy skill tree. But you can only use one of them.
That would be a cool class, but for that they must put new rules in the skill tree only for that class, and i don't really know if they want ti do that.
Still i really like the Avenger class. A ranged weapon tree, a close combat tree and a spell casting tree, all based at holy aspects.

That may not even be necessary. The reason being that like in Diablo2, if you spread out your skill points (too much) beyond many trees at times (although sometimes it could be done) your character did not end up having a high enough concentrtation of skills in a specific area of the skill tree to be powerful or survivavle especially later in the game.
I think this alone, provided the skill tree is created to reflect this, could stop someone from using both trees.
Why would you want range and magic anywhere? They are both ranged attacks. The only positive thing is that you can keep on attacking from afar when the mana is out.
I like Ariandus hero class, but I don't feel like claws fit. It wasn't in D2 (came with the assa) so why should it be in D3?
It could work if the Magic tree was only meant for enhancement. So you'd be enchancing your melee or ranged skills with magic, not relying on direct damage magic spells.

I've come for your children - Your first born

How about the "Sent"? I dunno.
personnally think all angelic and demon character sux in diablo it's humans that try to stay alive in the turmoil
the fight is demons and angel tryin to gain the power of the humans to aid them in their battle against each other .. demons by force angel by ruse
I was thinking this too. The only godly thing about the paladin was that he was better than everyone else.
If that class came out I would name mine cupid right away
I like the idea, just not the name so much..

Yes! I agree. thanks!:D
