Makes sense doesn't it? Only read a summary of the Sin Wars, but apparently the whole point of the Worldstone was to inhibit the insane powers of Nephalem (humans), so wouldnt a logical inference be that after its destruction, a specially attuned group of humans (Cult of Nephalem, whatever) regains their powers?
Saw a post somewhere that suggestd a half angel, half demon class, just thought this would tie it up in a neat bundle - since the first Nephalem were created by the union of angel (inarius + co.) & demon (Lilith + co.) . Something cool would be an Angelic Skills tree, where you can imbue weapons to look like that mad burning lightsabre of Tyrael's, imbue wings onto yourself, etc. Demonic Skills tree can 'demonically' transmute parts of the body (devil may cry 4's nero devil bringer comes to mind nicely). Possibilities are endless~and way more interesting than all that mage-archer-fighter stereotype out there, imo. Could be fun!

Dablo has human classes only. No Hybrids or other races. And shows no signs of changing that.
The closest thing is the Umbaru. But that is really no different from the Barbarians of the north. They are still human, they just look a little different.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
IMO I think the only way for that to happen is through some sort of expansion. The diablo series as it is stuck with human based characters. If they ever thought about adding in different races, that would mean applying a whole revamp of every class with the races unique abilities.

Hey Mr. know it all.........
There is always room for change and improvement if Blizzard can pull it off right and as long as there are no elves or elfens lol
...i think some of you people take the lore way too seriously and dont realize the fact that it's all written by blizzard and they can write whatever they wish beyond what you can imagine into the lore/game.

Yeah but it has to make sense to readers and can't vastly contradict what has already been stated as canon.
You may not care about the lore, but a lot of people do. If they all the sudden add something in that doesn't make sense then people are going to be very put off by it.
Like if they just decided to make demons a playable class.
Naaa, just humans. No WoW here, we are talking about Diablo.
Humm, channeling angelic and demonic powers... Not bad, but the concept of class is always been strict in games. What role could he have? Caster? Melee? Support?
Diablo 2 Act IV: Fighter Mage
Dunno why everyone going on about (non)human now (bad choice of title I guess)...
DiabloWiki: Inarius - "...Together, the various Demons and Angels created a world of their own known as Sanctuary, and also created the first born humans known as the Nephalem."
Not all humanity reverts to Nephalem coz...only a mystic cult retained its Nephalem roots thru much studying of WoW lore...= = Agh sure blizzard can make up something if they're inclined. ANyway, aint discussing what class is/isnt possible here! Just throwing out ideas to see what an interesting, fun class to play could be like

what if at the end of the game all classes unlock their powers? then in the expansion/d4 (if they make one) they can make heaven/hell factions and you decide who wins (like guildwars per say).

Aren't humans the "abomination" of the demons and the angels?
There could be the odd human that discovers his power and is on the journey to recover it.
I even have a picture I drew.
No-where. Blizter is just madhattin' away. Regardless, the prospect of a Nephalem class would be retarded. All humans are already, technically, nephalem. Incredibly weak, "degenerated", nephalem - but still Nephalem.
What I could see would be some kind of Monk-like class that draws upon powers from both heaven and hell, working actively to channel the powers of the nephalem. But that's for an entirely other thread.
To be fair though, I am a person (people), and that's exactly what I imagined; if the powers return at all - there's really not anything saying that it does. It's just a fantasy "that makes sense"-thing.
Well I see a lot of people assuming the power would just spring back into existence after being weakened for hundreds of years.
I mean it's all speculation for now but it just doesn't make sense that it'd be that fast to me, if it returns at all.

The main question I'd have is then, why do these humans have their power back and not the rest of humanity?

But if i do remember right all humans are neph one way or another, since they are all children of demon's and angels, but once again its been awhile.

It weakened the human generations over time. So now that it's destroyed why would weak humans + weak humans = stronger humans?
If anything the power would come back over time just like it weakened over time.
Yeah, except you forgot Rathma isn't a giant.
