Not sure if it has anything to do with lore but I noticed that Imperius spear which was known as the Spear of Valor, changes in shape on the prong side. If anyone has seen some of the cinematics, the part with his ordeal with Tyrael, the spear has just one prong/point to it while his encounter with Diablo turns to two double sided points.. Just something I caught, could mean nothing heh
Edit: just noticed it opens into 2 on its own..
