At 3:26 when Diablo starts fighting Imperious he makes small chat and says:

Diablo: "Your rage makes you powerful, yet you hide it from your brethren. Perhaps you fear them seeing you for what you truly are"

Imperius:"I fear nothing".

So i have been thinking about what Diablo said, what Imperius truly is? Could be he a demon in disguise or a good demon?. If such thing exists.

I wonder whats up with him (Imperius) and wonder if this question will be answered in D3.

Ideas?

Imperius is an angel, a full angel, no demon whatsoever. What he is hiding is his WRATH basically he has bad anger problems. This becomes apparent to the rest of the archangels when he strikes down Diablo even though the other council members told him not to. Imperius hates sanctuary and demons, he thinks both are utter abominations and won't have anything to do with either of them.
