i would start it out with the 3 prime evils standing in the together where that portal is,(before the old man sees them) and they summon a ancient evil, whos name is lost to history, THE FORTH PRIME EVIL, Baal sends him to the north to await his time. So the 3 prime evils get killed, soulstones destroyed. Now the 4th comes back, collects their soulshards, puts them back together, and the soulstones r back, when the 3 prime evils come back, they r weak, diablo aka the dark wanderer aka the first hero, takes over the body and rushes to cain to tell him the bad news, "the 3 prime evils r back". Now cain goes to find the heros from the 2nd game, only to find he's too late, diablo regained control of the body and killed the heros and then runs off. now u contol a new series of heros and ur first main bad guy is diablo, then mephisto, then baal, then the ancient evil, but heres the fun part, when u get the the last boss(the 4th) u have to fight the 3 prime evils again, but not to worry, their only as strong as champion monsters, so in order to kill the 4th, u must kill the 3 prime evils again and again till he's dead, sweet plot, eh:D
You already said this, and I already said it was absolute shit, not just the story, but the way you typed it out makes it impossible to read or understand.
First you give no explanation for how the 3 Prime Evils got out of the Black Abyss (where they currently reside), The host bodies they used in the second game are dead, as is the host body Diablo used in the first game (i.e the prince).
And the Prime Evils are the strongest demons in the diablo universe, let's not go and ruin the series by making it more like Dragon Ball Z, some new super powerful, stronger than last week's ultimate bad guy, turns up.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Yeah. Or the prime evils' father. Or Lucifer. Or diablo's son. AND THE WORST ONE EVER .... Evil Tyrael. I would rather overdose on heroin than see an evil tyrael ... that would ruin it all for me.
i think we already have an evil tyreal. hes called izul. he was an angel and corrupted by evil. basically the same as a evil tyreal.
maybe if tyreal becomes evil you will have to face both tyreal and izul. that could be pretty sweet. or if tyreal doesnt become evil then maybe you will see a cut scene of tyreal v.s. Izul. now that....would be awsome.
2nd - Like tons of people have said many of the ideas of bringing back a boss like Izual is very cliched. I don't want to fight him again because he'd have to look exactly the same and it would be the same thing. Fighting the 3 prime evils again would be different, though, because they would have to have different forms which adds more to the flavor. Tyrael is the only angel I want to see again and he better pull his own damn weight. I think there's a possibility for him to be evil, too. I do think it's kinda of strange how the majority of this site is obsessed with either him or Cain becoming evil in the next game. I think both would be extremely cliche.

lomfa. perfect way to say it. think it would be good to have izul like a merc. so when you go to fight people he will be there to fight along your side?
i can understand the prime evils taking over bodys and then the body becomes theres. but i dont understand why they would look different.
diablo 1 diablo-looked like a typical demon you could ever think of.
diablo 2 diablo-looked almost the same as the diablo one diablo. but had a couple of different movements and attacks.
so i guess what i am saying is i dont understand why they would look different.
The three prime evils change the appearences of their hosts to match what they looked like in hell, but they dont have to exactly. If Diablo wanted to have big demon\bat wings then he can just sprout them out of his ass in theory and take flight... Id like to see some concept art of Diablo with wings.
In Diablo 1 he stands more upright and has less horns and spikes coming off of him and I think his face shape changes aswell as posture In Diablo 2 (I played Diablo 1 a while back but I cant really remember his appearence in detail)

There are similarities looking at them both right next to eachother but there are also man noticable differences. The tail for starters.
Diablo1 seems more human like. Diablo 2 seems more beast/demon oriented. There is a color difference(but that really doesn't mean anything) and the spikes are very different. Diablo 1 walks upright and Diablo 2 is more like a gorilla and even runs on all fours.
The only differences I see is that the diablo 2 one got less toes, less horns, and his horns are shaded a different color, besided that I really don't see any big noticable changes.

I am a glutton for punishment, though, I would keep the 3 brothers ful strength. hehe
