Well, for those that read the book, I'd like to talk about it with you all.
How did the last book of the trilogy fit into place? Well, it ended rather quickly, but I felt the ending was unforseen and very interesting. The Angiris Council is something I'm sure we'll hear about in Diablo III, and now Tyrael's character is questionable.
SPOILER ALERT! Spoilers begin underneath this line: --------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm gonna throw some spoilers out for those that don't think they'll have time to read any of the Sin War trilogy books.
Uldyssian ul-Diomed - the main character, and a farmer near the small town named Seram. His family was killed in a fire years ago, and only him and his brother, Mendeln are left to manage the farm. Uldyssian is rather hostile to inquisitors of the Cathedral of Light and members of the Triune. Ultimately, he leads thousands agaisnt the Triune and Cathedral of Light and topples all. He also alters the Worldstone, unleashing energy for his army. Then he duels with Inarius, and wins. Then he uses his energy to saturate into Sanctuary.
Mendeln ul-Diomed - Uldyssian's brother, and good friends with the hunter, Achilios. Mendeln is younger than Uldyssian, and smaller. Mendeln discovers an odd runestone with Achilios one day while hunting in the forest. The enchanments from the runestone later effect Mendeln's senses and powers. Mendeln is taken by Rathma and is given an ivory dagger, which he uses to cast spells. Mendeln becomes a Necromancer and freaks a bunch of people out
Serenthia - the daughter of Cyrus, the trader and leader of the market of Seram. She has a crush on Uldyssian, but feels too young and undeserving of him. Uldyssian doesn't find out her feelings for him until later.
Achilios - the stealthy hunter that is friends with Mendeln. He stumbles upon a mysterious runestone along with Mendeln one day. Achilios loves Serenthia, but is afraid of rejection from her, so he holds his feelings back.
Lylia - a new blonde in Seram that arrived with some traders. She is hot, and Uldyssian falls in loves with her at first sight. He chases her around town, and then Lylia secretly enchants Uldyssian with incredible powers, which rapidly progresses throughout the book. Lylia turns out to be the human form of Lilith.
ya. my favorite char's to read about were meldeln and achilios. The plots with the angels was laid out perfectly too. It had everything a good, interesting novel needs. i just wonder if the sacrifice of Uldyssian willbe heard of later (maybe in game) ??
thoroughly enjoyed it. I love playin the Necromancer in D2, so n e thing that had to do w/ trang or linarian (rathma's real name from inarius) is koo.
As a literary piece, it's medioce at best. I get so ridiculously irritated at all the miraclous times when they're just about to die. Uldyssian underestimates, Inaruis, gets into trouble and is about to die, then in the nick of time manages to save himself. Then he berates himself for underestimating Inarius. He then, once again a few pages later, underestimates Diablo, gets in trouble for it, then in the nick of tome manages to save himself once again. He then goes on to once again berate himself to never be so foolish.
But lo nd behold, in the next chapter he underestimates Malic. He gets into a tricky situation but once again manages to save himself. A third time he promises never to be so dumb again.
And this goes on and on, I get so frustrated I just want to smack him and Mendels and Serenthia and everybody else. Please Knaak, there are better ways of writing than putting the characters in life or death situations in every chapter and having them survive through miraculous timing.
Now apart from that, I find the sory to be very compelling. The best part of the book was, without a doubt, the last chapter. The Angiris council was worth lowing through this book. I look forward to seeing more of them in the future, what powers and relations they have etc.

I got sick of writing, I'll get back to it later.
