I thought it would be a good idea to create real life Diablo 2 runes from a 3d model, I know there already a couple people who made them by hand, but I never found any I could buy, then I found out about 3d printers and since i'm a 3d modeler myself, I said why not, I wanted to make them for myself then I said why not try to sell them, I did the model today and it looks very promising, price is kinda high unfortunately but it vary depending on the size of the rune, do you guys think it would sell ? I could make the full collection, I made the Zod rune because I like the indestructible property, next one would be Ist
best fitting material would be alumide I think:
and here the model, currently 1.309 w x 0.47 d x 1.526 h (inches) @ 30$
I am not sure about the ring on top versus an hole or simply nothing and for the engraving, it can be painted in black.
looks cool, but is there a copyright issue if u sell them?
I dont think so, there are tons of blizzard and other games handmade sold on ebay and other website, ill make sure there no issue before selling though

If you're actually trying to sell them for money, Blizzard's lawyers will DEFIANTLY be contacting you. If you're serious you might be able to work out a deal with them, but I advise against trying to sell these until you have everything figured out.
That's a really amazing idea. If you ever want to sell them I'd suggest a "cover your ass" approach. Copyrights, trademarks, patents... it can get messy. An ounce of prevention is worth much more than a pound of TEN MILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT IN YOUR FACE .... if you get my meaning!
