Perhaps this will get some posting in the d2exp forum... Im sure you guys know what a Standard of Hero (SoH) is.... Its more or less a trophy you get after destroying the 3 ubers in tristram, it has a level 90 req, and once you reach level 90 does absouletely nothing.... or so many people thought.

I was reading the battle.net forums, however, and this subject came up, and many people were saying it did nothing, but a blizz poster replied that the patch (then) had been out for 5 months, but no one had played it 5 months to figure out what SoH does...

forgive me, but i have not played d2exp in awhile (few months) so if someone has figured it out just let me know, but my question to all of you is... What do you think it does?

i think its a way to get people to think about diablo 2 again. its that simple.

the big question is: "why would they want to get people back into Diablo 2LOD?"

Considering the fact that few people will actually go out and buy the entire warchest to play the game, just because it has a new features (how would they even know about the new feature, or care, not playing the game); the question remains: what is Blizzard's motive? *cough*

I think we all know where that is headed ha!

I agree in a way brute, sure they could be using it to get people into diablo (as they are alot of other things: book, music player, etc)... but even so, would it not get more people bringing an item that actually does something, or one that no one thinks does anything... I really want to find out what soh does, and since i have about 40 on my old accnt, im gonna start playing again just to see if i can find out what it does exactly... i love challenges


Then again... it would just as well do nothing :/

yeah you see. youre playing again. youre playing because of the standard of heroes. its getting your mind back on diablo. its getting people to think about diablo again. those programmers at blizzard are brilliant.
