Thye last email I got from Diablofans dates from 2017...
There is still no fix for this?
There is no fix - you can't get your deleted posts back, unfortunately. However, you should have gotten a nickname credit if you logged in with your Twitch account. No one should be able to yoink it from under you.
I just want to say that you guys really f'ed up by doing this. Long time users got their accounts deleted which is just stupid. And, no. You don't get multiple emails saying to link your twitch and curse accounts because I checked my mail and I only received 1 email which I missed since I get lots of emails. This just makes (me personally at least) discourage posting.

I personally received 4 emails, 3 of them went into the spam folder due to my emails strict policy regarding duplicates.
This post was from 10 months ago, before we even shut down, unfortunately due to migration To/from twitch, some inactive accounts were lost.
I wasnt lying to you when I said I would look into it, I even browsed all the user_XXXX's to see if I could find your posts.
What I am not understanding is why post count is going to discourage you or anyone from posting, the amount of posts you have doesnt mean you love the series any more or less does it?

I personally don't care about post count, I care more about my join date which was ~2009.

Just to highlight when you say "YOU", all the people who were responsible for this are gone - this was a thing between Curse (who sold DiabloFans) to Fandom (who purchased DiabloFans). Especially the mods (Aerisot and me) have absolutely nothing to do with nor access to this kind of system-level of accounts.
I hate this just as much as you. Many people who I enjoyed having discussions with are gone. But by now "going away" you'd be really just punishing the wrong people.
Can confirm what Bagstone is saying. Nobody on the DiabloFans team as it is right now had any say on this matter. We understand that it's frustrating, and we wish we could go back and change it; however, it's not a possibility. If we change how account linking works in the future, we will do our best to avoid this kind of situation again.
