Why hasn't there been a huge post about trading? I think this game should have a trading system. The only thing you can do with items you found solo are junk or save them. I already have 5 character stash's full with gear I don't need but it's too good to salvage...Are we getting trading?
There have been plenty of posts about trading, but there also have been plenty of developer interviews where they clearly stated that it won't come - definitely not in the near future, likely not anymore at all in Diablo 3.
Can't find the video right now, but if my memory doesn't fool me one of the instances was then DatModz asked it like about a dozen times in the RoS playtest stream and Don Vu basically at some point said something like "BoA is here to stay, get over it".

Crap, I was really hoping, finding some gear is next to impossible. :/

The developers also stated many times that they wouldn't get rid of the AH.
Rather not have trading and have good itemization system , current system seems to work better than any older iteration , also I don't feel like it is impossible to progress without trading/AH which is a good thing in a game that is mainly focused on loot hunting.

I'd hardly take anything they say as definitive.
That is actually not exactly true. They stayed relatively silent on the AH debate until in March 2013 Jay Wilson finally admitted that it was a mistake. He also said that they were thinking about removing it, but didn't want to because 1) they didn't want to lose players and 2) they didn't have a solution for how to do that.
Obviously, with an expansion they had a solution set up (re-itemization and gear reset) and the expansion was not about *losing* players, but actually not *selling* copies of the expansion. So there was this window of opportunity that D3V (what Jay Wilson was talking about) didn't have.
Anyways - I'm very certain that trading will never be completely enabled. They will never do anything that allows a free trading as in D3V, because it was very harmful for the game. Maybe they'll loosen up the 2 hour window to more time or extend the circle you can share an item with to people on your friends list or whatever, but if you think you'll ever be going back to AH/D2JSP days... think again. Not gonna happen.
to be honest: i dont miss it at all... loot hunt works pretty good, i almost think that progressing to t6 is to fast (if you play the right class ofcourse ). i didnt get all rare legendaries, but playing t6 with several classes after such a short time in hc is pretty nice
Well, I'm playing Wizard so I'm kind of just done with trying to find two items I want which as hexing pants of Mr. Yen and the Wand of Woh...Also Ice Climbers would be nice.
In "Blizzard Time", its only been a few hours since the auction house was disabled, and gold account bound. I highly doubt trading will make a return ever, let alone some time soon....
how about this scenario: -trading and auction house re-enabled, -all auctions are blind bid, and no longer on a "global trade website"...completely hodgepodge garage sale luck of the draw posts on your account -auction house takes sizable cut -BoA 100% gone, gold EXTREMELY rare..mobs no longer carry 5000 gold coin purses for fucks sake..... -gold consumed passively through repairs maintenance etc.etc... and allitems wear away over time and no longer last forever and will virtually all be destroyed over time irreversibly from use and abuse in battle. I'd love that in a way.....

I think having items that wear away over time will only work if the durability is drastically increased. Otherwise, losing hard to find BIS items is just a harsh gamble because these items are the ones that fetch HUGE gold/real $$ costs and it's still a vicious cycle as compare to the RMAH days.
Blind bind is just a poor idea although I know what you are going at. It's like a random auction house that just happens to be open at the right time and right place which is completely random. There is basically no difference in this than RNG.
In addition, there is still no way to control all the 3rd party gold/item farmers from abusing this system which is the REAL reason that the RMAH failed and cause Blizz to close it up.
I like the way it is now as well. But if they were to enable trading amongst clan members instead of party members I think that would be a change for the better. Imo

Yea it would take a long while for gear to break thats for sure....im thinking jewellery would take years...swords maybe a year.....who knows....!!?
im guilty of enjoying the auction house as it was much more than normal people. i used to spend hours scanning and searching and shopping through the auction house.....I also love me some garage sales......those things are the grand daddy of RNG..... but I like your thinking....
If they add trading into the game, they might as well bring back the auction house. It's basically going to turn into a repeat of the Diablo 2 unofficial market, where all the best gear gets sold.
I like the system it's right now, playing to get your loot. Yeah I have all classes geared and can do t6 under 5 to 10 mins. I just level a crusader and gear him full t6 full akahan set and FoF in 2 days.... I can see why you get frustrated of not getting those two item for your wizard, but you are asking for two of the rare item ingame and especially WoH is ONE of the rarest in game, so it will take time. Some people get luck and get it and some take a while. I clan mate is paragon 30 and he just started playing Diablo and his WD found a FURNACE (took me forever to finally get one furnace) and he has 4/6 piece of jade set. It will drop eventually for you.
Inter-Clan trading is something I'd like to see. Would make joining clans worth something instead of being with your friends or seeing all the cool gear people get. There would have to be like a ten day waiting period before you could trade though. So the Chinese sellers have a harder time selling gear.
With smart loot, trading is borderline pointless anyway.
99% or more of the drops my Monk friend gets are absolutely worthless to me unless I'm going to roll a Monk... which I will, eventually, but not anytime soon.
The only time I care what my friends are getting are when we're playing the same class, and usually, we're playing together anyway so it's a non issue.
All that being said, I can certainly see the need for a trade system of sorts, but then the problem becomes making our D3 account valuable to the hackers again. I do like knowing that if someone does hack my BNet account, all they can really do is look at all my stuff. If they break it down, it's still mine. The only way they can really harm me is by buying something from the vendor to deplete my gold, but there's just no point in it for them.
I remember pro-BoA people were saying how it would increase the longevity of the game.
Honestly, I noticed the same drop-off in friends playing between RoS and D3V. Why? Simply put the item hunt isn't significantly better than it was in D3V. Instead of people "shortcutting" it via the AH, they "shortcutted" it with RiF + Kadala and loot-sharing games. Either that or they simply burnt out completely on bounty-farming or got ridiculously tired of rifts being the only viable farming place.
Josh gave a hard sell on BoA that it would allow them to improve aspects of the game, and we all understood the potential.... but he has really fallen short on achieving that potential, particularly with legendaries... which are going to require yet another pass because so many of them still suck. Sometimes I get this gut feeling that Josh has never played an ARPG before.

Trading isn't coming back.
Anytime I feel frustrated about a dry spell in loot drops etc....I close my eyes and think of the Auction Houses. Oh the horror. ...
