Ye gods. How many of those people who answered 'yes' are still playing D3? How many of them dumped 300+ hours into the game already?
If you're bored, quit. Stop playing. It's not a difficult thing to do. Even those people who played D2 for years took breaks from the game: nobody would've been playing for 10 years in every hour of free time (or maybe there was 1-2 who did, but that's the exception, not the rule).
The idea that polls like this can even exist just boggles the mind. I'm not really playing the game at the moment, but I still wouldn't call it boring. I just went off to do other stuff instead of let it get to that stage. I'll come back to it later and have fun again. No issue.
Absolutely boggles the mind.
What boggles the mind is how often this lame and narrow-minded argument is made. Not everything is black or white. Many of us have been waiting for this game for some time. We want this game to be great. We don't want to simply abandon ship at this point; we are hoping that improvements are made which give the game longevity.
We don't hate the game, but we see problems that need to be corrected. We are trying to find things to do in game so that we don't have to admit defeat and move on. We check back here often to see what's happening in the community and in the game.
1.0.4 is probably going to really shake the game up, simply from the skills/runes/passives rebalancing. I realized that I could farm til my eyes bleed right now, and probably hate myself for it, or I can do what is in my power to be best-prepared for the changes.
I still have my heart set on a genuine WD dog/garg build, that's what I have had my heart set on from the very first time I saw the skills/runes. If Blizzard can't quite deliver on that I'd like to have some options as to what/how I want to play. And, for me, that involves having one of each class at 60 and ready to go. And by "ready to go" I mean they're geared to be able to handle Act 1 Inferno without much chance of dying.
I think why is because they decided to go gear check for endgame rather than skills. D2 took forever to get to lvl 99 it was a grind. But you wanted it and did it because with each lvl you got skill stat points. Here hell most of us hit max lvl day 2 . That and legends suck. You bust your ass and grind to get one then oh its a salvage legend. WTF who made the decesion to salvage legends ? Horrible idea both of these. I think sometimes people need to remember saying if it aint broke dont fix it. And D2 had skills right on and lvl's. There are a lot of improvemtns made yes but they took a lot of the key compoents away from D2 like skill points, and toon lvls that made it so great.
Another thing seems like the loot was half ass done with little or no testing. And for any of us who followed the building of D3 Blizzard stated that is one of the last thing they do. Legends should not be salvage at all. Can you imagine salvaging a WindForce. It is nice being able to change skills but should have took way longer to reach lvl 60
There should have been more options in your poll. Even a "sort of" option would have sufficed. I'm sort of bored with D3 now, but only because I don't have anyone to play it with and I don't enjoy playing it solo.
Also the skill points made you feel like you were really building the toon. And not every wiz was as good. Here it is all about gear and I understand maybe good reason is rmah but think about it. There is no money sink. Not gold sink but money sink. Like you have to keep replacing your gear. I bet most people only use rmah for gear. Most that is once you have gear very little to purchase there.
This Diablo 3 has a feel that we are in Beta still. OK joke over we tested it somethings are great somethings nah lets back to the real world.

Yeah that's about where I am as well. I still play, holding out for that one 100m+ item, and leveling a barb. If I were completely bored I wouldn't play at all.... but it's close.
The gear hunt always keeps me coming back...as long as I have a goal i can keep going without getting to bored... I guess maybe if I fully geared all my characters and then cleared Inferno with them I would be bored, but I'm sure this will keep me busy until they add some more stuff to do.

i was thinking of adding a "sort of" option, but i was aiming for a general opinion

I didn't vote simply because I'm heading in the direction of bored and will be there soon, but still having fun-ish. However, if they do right by the core-fans and fix this terrible itemization, I would stay well engaged.
I just don't see D3 having the same looooong term appeal with this endless hunt for a two ilvl range of rares.
I will say this though. If D3 had the exact same itemization as D2.....same game....same gameplay, everything, I would proudly proclaim this game the best god damn game ever made.
I can't say that I'm bored yet with Diablo 3. I haven't played much in inferno (just in Act 1), but I'm still leveling through to 60 on all the classes. Sometimes I do wish that there were some changes made to make the game "more fun" by making it less easy to die, for instance allowing spammable health pots, because at the moment, health pots are pretty much useless.
I've been trying not to burn out on Diablo III by playing too much and too often. I've made a concious effort to play a variety of games to keep things fresh. Back in the day I could play the same game for a thousand hours but those days have long since passed. I've been trying to beat Dungeon Siege III and I've been playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I just started playing the first Witcher about a week ago but I haven't really touched it since. I'm still leveling my Wizard for a little bit almost everyday but what sucked was that I had to grind out three levels before I could join The Imprisoned Angel Nightmare cooperative.
I have gotten to the point where it is complete none sense. The same quest over and over. Why cant they make a game that changes every time or have special days with a new quest?????
I was just about to start a game of D3 since about 3 weeks (if not more) of not touching it when I realized... what's the use.
What im gonna say here isn't new, it's been said a thousand times. Just before I launched the game I remembered that if i was going to play, I wouldnt be playing to find better weapons, i'd be playing to get gold so I can buy stuff in the AH at ridiculous prices. And that my friends got me so down that I simply logged off. I'm so fucking pissed at blizzard for screwing up this game... I'm fucking sick and tired of not being able to get passed act 1 inferno and I'm fucking sick of looking at deals in the AH. So yeah I write this after logging in for 30 seconds on my account then logging out. I really would like to see the active player count in the first week of launch and now. I'm willing to bet more then half of the players who were there in the first week of release are not playing anymore.
Class skill system is boring. Classes are boring overall. No Pvp, no runes, no ring/amulet crafting recipes, boring companions, extremely hard boring grinding system, being locked in one act = boring you should be allowed to move across all acts in every game you make... boss are boring in general too.. Pony level sucks.... AH destroyed the game, exploiters destroyed the economy and Blizz didn't do nothing about it. This game is only about grinding items, D2 was about... making your follower uber, crafting that godly dual ring/amulet, about PK'ing in sewer games, about PK'ing in duel games, dueling, PvP games... Cows!!.. finding uniques sets with more frequency and that could be a lot more useful than the crap they call nowdays Legendary and sets.. I been a high fan from Diablo, since it's first game, and i played all of them during years, sadly to discover that D3 just blows, and took away all the essence and fun of D2. i lasted until 2 weeks ago since launch, at least no one can blame me for not trying. Beated Diablo in Inferno, and i guess that after that.. There is nothing else that makes you want to stay.
