How were you LUCKY to get sulfuras? FoS in wow were mostly rewards from HARD WORK.. please tell me how hard you worked for your D3 beta key *insert meme here*
I have the Sulfuras and Shadowmourne feats of strength. WoW has nothing to do with hard work. It has to do with wasting a lot of time online and having a lot of e-friends.
Those complaining are just butthurt, should've been faster on those twitter / facebook contests.
Very nice to have a FoS from the start.
This is the most ignorant thing I've seen on here in a long time. When Blizzard announced they would give away keys via Twitter, I built a script that would attempt to apply them automatically. When they switched to using images, I even ran the script through OCR software that was able to properly parse and convert the image to text that could apply it. And it did everything in under 6-7 seconds, MAX, from the time the key was posted. And I still didn't get one. Not ONE.
Now, no one is capable of manually loading an image on twitter and then transcribing 24 random alphanumeric characters in that amount of time. Which means that no matter how much time you spent on any of those 'giveaways', 99% of the population never even stood a chance.
this is really dumb. their reward was being able to play the game before the rest of us. now they have to rub it in by giving them a feat of strength too?
i have not criticized blizzard a single time in recent memory, but this is fucked up.
Some people will bitch about anything these days.
Yes, the achievement was somewhat unnecessary. Yes, it is not very fair, especially the part about receiving it even without logging into beta. But who says luck should not be rewarded? Who made that rule and why wasn't I told of it?
The fact is that this doesn't in ANY way affect your experience. It's just a fairly worthless achievement that rewards no points and one (probably not that cool) banner sigil that no one will use a week after the release.
Or is it you can't stand not being among the 'Chosen'? Serious entitlement issues, guys. Maybe they should just change the name to something less awesome so people will get over it and move on with their lives.

That is the dumbest move i've seen blizzard make yet. There were hundreds of thousands of players that wanted a beta spot and they give extra reward for players who did this? Based on pure luck
Feats of Strength ARE achievements but they are a different kind. They resemble something you can only obtain at a certain point in time. Blizzard awards them for purchasing the collectors edition, taking part in special events that only happen once etc.
Only difference is they DO NOT award points. This is so people who miss these "special events" don't fall behind in achievement points, even though the points themselves are essentially useless but are just fun to collect. It's kind of the whole point of the system, it's optional but offers an incentive and reward for people who choose to hunt them.
So yeah, everyone who purchased the CE will get a FoS not only in D3, but SC2 and WoW as well. May as well go yell at Blizzard for that too if it's that big of a deal.

luck should be rewarded - and it WAS rewarded.. by access to the beta.
I must say I don't quite understand why they didn't award this feat to open beta players aswell... Perhaps that's due to a technical limitation? (Them not being able to track who was in). It seems to be that people spending half a weekend staring at a login screen trying to get in is atleast as helpful as the closed beta testing. o.o
people complaining that they wont receive this probably werent around or playing games before any kind of achievement existed. you see, to us older gamers, we recognize that achievements dont actually do anything.

Because then people would be complaining because they had other obligations on beta weekend and missed it. You'll never please everybody, so people will just have to deal with the fact that a meaningless feat of strength evaded them
What irritates me most is that probably 90% of the beta keys went to americans.
i feel sad for the asians who dident even have a beta at all, heard korea had on for like a week or something.
but this is retarded, i dont mind first-serve-first-get type achivements, or purly skill based top pvp and beat x mode before y time. cos i know if i tried hard enought i could have gotten it.
But getting something by pure random chance. that is not even equal across the player base in the whole world is just retarded.

Let me put it this way: For those who think it's a complete privilege to play in the beta, contrary to your belief it's not. it can be a pain in the ass sometimes. Hardware issues (overheating, power, memory) and in game issues (losing currency, characters) can become quite frustrating, especially for those min/maxers. Most of us who were in the beta early enough actually provided input, some of which was incorporated.
The reward for those who participated in the beta I feel is acceptable. For one, it's for complete vanity. It doesn't provide beta testers an advantage any way.
I do agree that there are those who got in and did nothing (such as having an open beta weekend - *that* is a privilege), and yet still are receiving this reward, but I'm sure they aren't going to take the time to go through everyone who was invited into the beta to see who provided essential feedback or reports.
luck should be rewarded - and it WAS rewarded.. by access to the beta.
...logic. it's your friend.
You only foolishly presume it was mere luck. Maybe I applied for beta the moment it became possible. Maybe I participated in more than a dozen shitty contests around the internet just to get my key and experience the game before the others. And maybe I won one of them.
Take your biased logic elsewhere. There is nothing wrong with mine.
It's not about the word "Chosen" or something. And I agree that it's worthless BUT there are some people in the world who like to collect achievements and feats. I personally had more than 50 in wow and not getting this one only because I didn't have access to beta actually pisses me off.
There is a topic about it on reddit also and people do not look happy about this either.
But WoW also had a few feaths of strenght that were never available to the vast majority of the players base, more precisely the Blizzcon ones. I never really was mad because some people had them and I didn't, even though WoW is massively competitive and elitist, and I'm an achievement whore myself. I would mostly smile and move along with my game. Can't see why there is so much negativity regarding something as irrelevant as this, that is all.

This is serious bullshit.
lol
I'm over it.
and i swear to god, assholes who came up with this fucking achievement shit in gaming are goin' to hell after they die

oh well, won't ruin my enjoyment of the game.

I shall make sure to thoroughly make fun of anyone flaunting this feat in other people's faces.

Apparently luck was rewarded. Twice
I'll let you know how awesome it is when I log in and the Feat of Strength flases up on my screen.
