what i notice on the NA leaderboards is that most of the botters use multiple accounts. It cant be a coincidence that there are 2x [Sc] "..." in the same clan. 1 got banned and the other is still there. My theory is they party up with their bot account and loot share. then they push the leaderboards with both accounts in 2 separate groups.
It is kind of like creating a "back up" character in HC. Except they are creating a back up account.
"While you’re at it, could you please address the issue of users recreating new accounts for the sole purpose of gaining 3 rollbacks every season? Exploiting a useful mechanic in this way is still an exploit. Why should these users get 3x their bounty mats and 3x their keys?"
Can you please elaborate on what you mean? Why would one get more bounty mats/keys if you use reincarnation (at least thats what I think you mean with "rollback")?
Gather a ton of mats - craft/re-roll everything you need - if nothing is good; do a rollback to before you did said thing, and do it again. At least that's how it was explained on Reddit - might be a little different than what I explained here - but it's the general idea of it.
It's sadly been a thing for some time now. Blizzard is making money on it, so that's at least something - but it's a bit of an exploit imo..
Cause Blizzard need proves from pc.. Just cant kick, because u play gr70 16 hours per day
they have to detect a 3rd party software
Put the detecter/Warden on the guys that plays 10/h a day since season start how hard can it be :/
10h a day isn't all that much for the competitive crowd... I'd say anything over 16h is just silly to imagine though. Take into account though, that most botters have a back up plan. That's not really the issue, glad to see Blizzard is still active on the subject, however, there should be something done about those party to the botting, for example, removal of 2 players from the 4p Rank 1 group in seasonal, how about we go ahead and just remove the clear completely? I mean, the other 2 party members were clearly gaining from the 2 botted accounts they were grouped with, why should they get to maintain their rewards? A harsher punishment outside 'this account is closed but buy a new one for $20' may go a long away in detering players from botting, and even deter other players from playing with known botters. Just a suggestion.
Hey guys, did a short writeup on the recent banwave on US D3 Servers, let me know if there's anything you'd like me to include.
I still find it funny that this guy is so vocal about botting when he himself was banned back in Season 5 for third party software. Although I've spoken out about the need for something like Tu***H** within the core of Diablo 3, I very well know it's against the ToS, using it has a chance, even if it's small, to have my account closed, so I don't use it. It looks like, and I've talked to several people about it, an extremely useful tool in regards to information. The map hack part of it could simply vanish and it might even be considered as the first D3 mod allowed by Blizzard. Anyways! A long story short, I find it hilarious that you continue to spout non-sense about bans and how good it is for the game when you yourself were banned for the same thing. Hilarious. More to the point, your write up doesn't contain much information that wasn't already readily available to the public, but thanks for writing it. =)
We will see. I am gonna check leaderboards tomorrow and see if EU botters are still there. Funny is r2 barb in eu was banned twice already, it's his third account.
This is the reason why blizzard will never come up with a different solution for any botting problem. It's a win-win-win for them. They get to ban a botter, the community thinks the blizzard employees are heroes, and the botter who got banned goes an buys another account. Blizzard cant lose.
why do you guys care about their party) if 1-2 bots were banned - their record is nothing, other parties can easily close higher, especially when banned people were playing dd. Look at Arkismall and never offlines record - it is beaten many times, and if you can't beat it still - so why do you still care about it?)
@Zt1mQ Really? Their names get shown at the top 10 of the leaderboards. They take spots of honest people who maybe have a lower record but a valid one. It is just fair to ban them. Because if THEY are so good, THEY can easily make that record again with a valid group. We do have nothing to prove here...
