I couldn't agree more. Blizzard seriously needs to give back the essence of diablo to diablo 3 !

Yes it's still in pre-alpha stage, but if Blizzard decided if won't change its colour choices, then it would be great id diablo modders built a mod which would give back the glory to diablo.

And it seems that some models/ sounds have been imported directly from World of Warcraft, take the gameplay video for instance.

When the barbarian slays the ghouls, you could hear the sound when a 'forest pig' in warcraft dies. WTF?

Let's hope this changes as well.

people are saying that they shown us like 0.1% of the game and it may not be like this and it may get darker.

I think its what you see is what you get. idk what we can do about it

So after 20 years of prosperity everything should still be dark?

shut up about wow the world doesnt revolve around it well not our world its just 1 game and everything is comared to it and stop whining omg i love gore and darkness well im not weird like that WEVE SEEN 1 PLACE STOP POSTING A THOUSAND THREADS A MINUTE FOR 1 DANG LEVEL its so early stages of game they prolly havent even focused on that kind of stuff yet we got a long wait dont ruin it...

So we should accept Diablo 3 as Blizzard decides to do it? even if it goes against what we've all been used to since diablo 1? Even if the look and feel of the game will seriously affect our in-game experience?

Whats wrong with people voicing what they dislike if they dont say what they dont like it wont get fixed and stop calling it complaining. It's not like their insults or swearing like some people are about some things. <.< Its good people voice their opinions as soon as something get announced so blizzard can get right away start working on it.

Its ironic that the people who have a concern with what weve been shown are quite civilised, yet the fanatics on this site are the one cussing to their hearts content beacuse people dont agree that its the best thing theyve ever seen.

Diablo II was not that dark all the time. Most of the wilderness was pretty well lit. I think a dungeon might want to be a little bit darker. Why have nice graphics thought and make everything dark?

I think maybe they should have a lighting option. Have a dark and light setting in the video settings so people can have it the way they want.

I totally agree. I just dont get it. Theres nothing wrong with saying what your opinion is.

ok I usually don't get involved in these silly arguments about "omg this looks cartoonish and im not going to play it".. I just say well then don't play it, if you judge if a game is worth playing by its graphics then I really don't want you a part of my community because you obviously don't care about mechanics/gameplay.

BUT

it does look like WoW to me. I don't care, but I'm just providing some evidence.. because I would PREFER it to look a little different/darker






Yeah so like I said, I don't care what it looks like.. it could look like runescape (well maybe not) and I would still play it if the gameplay was updated and new features were added.

Those textures are not the same, same goes with the particles.

You want to make it unrealistically dark? Last time I stepped outside I saw green grass a blue clear sky and lush foliage, it was beautiful. Why should Diablo look dingy outside? But I agree that in dungeons should be dark and monotone. I didn't like the greenish glow everything had.
