I play WD pet build because necromancers my class of choice doesn't exist but more than WD I like Wizard concept. I love disintegrate and even more so when using the rune that makes it 2 handed the 2 beams looks so cool. Don't like time warp or Archon or even hydra but all the top builds are those.
Was hoping for a viable build for seasons that doesn't use Archon, Time warp or hydra. Not sure if this exists or if the class just sucks without those abilities propping it up.
You mention disintegrate, yet you don't seem to manage to google just that. Instead of ranting about a forum being dead, maybe your question was so obvious that no one cared to answer - since you are litterally one google query away from it.

So you managed to find an out of date build that makes no mention if it's viable anymore in 2.5 or not?
Viable is in the eye of the beholder, and no you won't clear GR100+ with any non-"meta" build, but just because it's a build that isn't speficially made for 2.5 doesn't mean it's outdated - especially when the build uses items that have still the same effect. You could also just try them out yourself and improve them.
It's basically the only thing you can do, if you don't like archon, slow time, etc.
