With some of the changes coming up in 2.4.1 does anyone think there is a viable work with Rimeheart and the new Frostburn gloves?
I'm thinking 2pc Mauraders / 2pc Shadows. Filling in some of the off pieces with some defense boosters. Of course I'm not sure if the 2pc Shadows pushes the Rimeheart damage up, if it does with the upcoming buff to 1200% it might be viable as just a fun spec. I'm in theory craft right now since I don't have the time to make it on the 2.4.1 PTR since I'm working on my crusaders build. If anyone has any experience or any input on the idea, I'd love to hear about it. I know it's going in a strange direction for DH's but I think there might be some fun to be had with it.
Bolas, Grenades, Chakram, Fan of Knives, Impale, and Spike Trap all have cold runes. I imagine that the build would be one of the first two and one of the last 4 with Focus and Restraint, although FoK only has cost on the fire rune. If you use Rimeheart, then you just cube the weapon that goes along with whichever spender you choose. Foregoing the 6-piece set lets you get depth diggers as well. I don't think that Shadow's buff affects pet damage, so the only reason that I could think to use pets would be as meat shields or if their attacks triggered Rimeheart.
Yeah. That is why I was thinking of going 2 in on both the Mauraders for all the pets and the damage buff. I have some gear working to do to find out if the Rimeheart gets the damage buff from the Shadows set. But still kind of busy so I haven't gotten all the goodies for it on the PTR. :/
But the pets + the belt for damage reduction per pet is a nifty option for durability. I think that the Shadows set does buff the pet damage but I might be mistaken. If not it is mainly for the durability.
