Rage only. As of now the plan is for only the WD to use mana. All other classes will use a different mechanic. I'm glad about this. It will help replayability when playing other characters.

Increased variety among the classes, will increase playability.
Or should I say, it will increase the initiative to play other classes.

im pleased to see this idea is being so well received. i have thought it was odd for a hulking mass of muscle to use "mana". the idea of rage being implemented as a form of empowering him is intriguing to say the least.

It is called fury. Some people refer to it as rage because it has similarities to the rage system from WoW. I haven't played it personally, but I believe the warrior had "rage."
The barbarian will have "fury." Which to me works just fine. I like the name fury, to me it fits.
It will be cool if they can have each class have a different system, it will take more work to do, but their aim is to make how each character plays even more different from how they would have been, in order to make replaying as another character more fresh than it otherwise may have been.
We'll see how it all plays out in the future.

If Diablo 3 had a Super Saiyan class, I could see Rage being their energy system. But I don't know if a Barbarian would be using rage... Maybe fury would be a better word.. Like berserker fury. Rage sounds like he's actually getting angry and screaming in high-pitched voice like the Angry German Kid. Fury indicates him losing himself in the heat of battle.
I realise this is a really stupid thing to be commenting on, with a really silly argument on top of it. But meh, just felt like saying it anyway.
Hey man I respect your point of view, especially when you consider the complexity of languages. In games like D3, words are very important and subtle differences have a big impact on the overall perception of things (such as rage and fury). You are totally correct! Fury is much more related to the barbarian than rage is. Rage is more like an animal infuriated because you touched it's kids or because you stepped on it's tail ( my cat gets pretty angry when I do that (no I don't beat my animals :P)).
Just my quick and short reply
P.S: I know that Blizz called it Fury and Koodos to them for doing so!
The Wizard and the Monk will have almost similar systems of "Mana"...
Whenever a monk deals a few successive blows, he will be able to add in his finishing move.
The Wizard will be like this but with spells.
I think this makes most logic because this way a wizard wont be able to spam only the best spell and be like pwnz0rs... You will have to use other spells, like 1 or 2 before you can cast the really good one or something...

Thats what i think is going to happen.
Sounds reasonable, I wonder how this can be implemented in a PvP fight.
Assuming its 1v1, I guess potions??

Normally i would be against this but it actually sounds kind of good, since i love being a caster i cant wait to see what the spells look when their on step 3 or something.

i wish they would just keep the mana system for barb personally, this new fury thing will hold you back and make him so boring and retarted and as if he wont suck shit in pvp

Mana system was one of those things alot of people say "If it isn't broken don't fix it". However the fury system is not all bad. At Blizzcon I could spam tons of skills without worrying about running out of fury since using a skill and hitting something seemed to raise my fury more. When I did magically run out, all it took was a single hit or 2 to get enough back for a skill, in which the cycle starts over. They also have skills related to fury for barbs so that they lose less or gain more.
Yeah every time I played barb and ran out of mana I felt there was something wrong with warriors having it. On the other hand, I don't like fury/rage systems, either. I prefer cooldowns...
I don't really care about realistic. I just find the rage system extremely limiting. You end up having to attack people for the sake of rage filling and that whole mechanic just bugs me, because I don't play like that. And it's not that far away from mana, tbh, it's still the idea that you can cast off of a pool, while cooldowns mean there's nothing you can do to change the rate of your attacks, promoting having a wide array of skills, as well as weaker skills, because casting a weaker skill is better than casting nothing.
I guess the whole rage thing fits the barbarian, though.
