So Im really tired and Im gonna shoot some ideas that have been on my mind since i heard about D3
One of my Ideas is that Deckard Cain isnt the annoying old man we all think he is, Since he is the last of the Horadrim he might have some Dormant power that he does not know about that he has had his entire life
There are two ways I could see this working in the Storyline, Either he gets corrupted and Diablo, Baal and Mephisto *any of them or all of them for that matter* posses him and that would be the final boss for D3 *hooray we finnally get to shut him up about our damn Horadric Cube* orrrrr my other idea is that after we finally kill the prime evils his body is the only thing powerfull enough to contain the evils so kinda like the Tal-Rasha/Baal thing thats how Diablo 3 would end having Cain being sealed in some secret place with all the Prime Evils inside of him and thats the last we see of the old bastage
nah, cain will probably get killed by some bigass demon just before you get there to save him... then you will have to go and kill lots of demons and avenge him
I don't think he will get possessed or become a final boss, but I do agree that there's still more to him than is revealed.
"I don't really know anything about Cain. He seems to have a lot of secrets… That makes me nervous." - Charsi
"That old coot, Cain, is as crazy as a wet Quill Rat. I hear he survived whatever happened in Tristram. Personally, I wouldn't trust a thing he has to say." - Gheed
"Months ago, I came across a few survivors from Tristram. They said that Cain had gone half-mad and could no longer distinguish fact from fantasy." - Warriv
"This, Cain, whom you brought with you. He has the bearing of great power, yet I sense no magic about him. He is an enigma to me." - Hratli

Interesting quotes...And Cain has lived for a really long time...
i definitely think there is something to be revealed about Cain in D3...if not for all of this evidence...just for the fact of the way the D3 developers spoke of him.
so cain possibly went crazy and thought he was a horadrim?
maybe he was possessed by an angel (instead of a demon for once) so he could help you
Nah, he is definitely a descendant of the Horadrim. That was established in Diablo I, before he was trapped in Tristram. That quote was meaning 'fact from fantasy' as in demons and angels being 'fantasy'. Although, its odd that Warriv would say that, considering the countryside is full of them. But its still an interesting quote.

Survivors ? Cain is not the only survivor
How would they get the prime evils INTO Cain though now that the soulstones and worldstone have been destroyed
Im thinkin either Suppository or Some sort of Soulstone that after you kill Diablo Mephisto and Baal you can trap them inside then you get to go stab Cain in the forehead with it.. its a Win/Win Situation

Any thoughts or feedback would be great

It could happen though. Would kind of make sense. Him sacrificing himself to save Sanctuary.

The last quote is the best one.
