Hi I'm Andy and I haven't played diablo 2 since the expansion first came out years ago. I'm currently playing a bear druid in single player and have some questions.
1. Why does the druids attack speed even wherewolf attack speed seem to be so badly nerfed. Now druids are bad at everything.
2. I have tons of gems in my chest and backpack should i sell them to make more room for rune storage or maybe find a cube use for them.
3.Is there a way to transfer items between my barbarian and druid characters?.
4. Don't you think its *** that bears don't get a level 30 skill.
Thanks for your time...

I can't answer most of your questions as I myself haven't played in ages. Also, I usually go werewolf when doing druid, but meh, that's just me.

Sorry for the rather abrupt rule-shove-in-face-ing there, I just want to make sure you get started here on the right foot if you know what I mean.
1. Why does the druids attack speed even wherewolf attack speed seem to be so badly nerfed. Now druids are bad at everything.
The werewolf form actually, at level one, has the same attack speed as you (well, it's slightly higher). You need to invest more points in it to get it faster. Druids were never bad at anything, you just have to know how to use them and you can do anything with them. I've seen Druid chaos runners, Baal runners, MFers, duelers, and so on, and they were all very good. Druids just aren't a good choice for a beginner player- they're reliant on balancing use of many skills and specialized equipment.
For instance, if you want to play as a werewolf, you need to focus on AR, Life Leach, Block, Health, Mana Leach, and other related stats for your equipment that you choose. Invest your stat points in Dexterity for block (if you have a shield), Vitality, and Strength. Be careful not to put skill points in skills that aren't useful most of the time or that you don't use (unless you have to to get to a later skill in your skill tree).
2. I have tons of gems in my chest and backpack should i sell them to make more room for rune storage or maybe find a cube use for them.
If you've been playing the game since the expansion came out like you said I'm sure you can find it in your mental capacity to figure out such a trivial circumstance.
3.Is there a way to transfer items between my barbarian and druid characters?.
If you're playing online, you can always drop your items in a game and rejoin with your other character to retrieve them. Make sure you hide them somewhere if you do so no one finds them but you and also make sure someone else is in the game while you're gone or the game will close. I'd suggest doing it with a friend you trust.
There isn't any way to do this offline unless you use a third-party program, I'd imagine, although I don't know which one that would be (but we don't discuss those on this site- they're against the rules).
4. Don't you think its *** that bears don't get a level 30 skill.

Actually there are several programs that do that and are allowed to be discussed. Several mods, such as PlugY, are capable of launching multiple games at a time. However, since it doesn't work on B.net, it will only work for your Singleplayer characters.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Heh, well I usually play druid, so I can help you out here.
1. It was nerfed because of balance issues, the attack speed of the shapeshift itself was lowered so that you did not end up with a blazingly fast attack speed. Just get yourself a very fast attack wep and you'll be fine, it's the solution that I've found best works.
2.I'd cube em and use them for sockets, probably for a merc. Fill up some armor and helmets with rubies, and make yourself a tank merc.
3. Pretty sure you can do this on open battlenet, it allows you to use single player characters. Or one of the aforementioned mods for the game, plugy is the best of them all I've found.
4. Heh, yep, wish they had a level 30 skill as well.
Anywho, welcome again !

yikes be a little nicer, mag ><
he said he hadn't played since expansion
also about druid wereform attack speed, it depends a LOT on the weapon type and the ias on the weapon
(see here for comparing)
so if you're attacking very slow, you might try a weapon upgrade.
if you need to transfer for single player, and don't want to use any programs like they mentioned, go on open battlenet and find either a game you can join to drop your things in for a transfer.. or (better option) find someone that can help you xfer.
(you can come on uswest and msg *blood-doll i'll help you xfer on open)
anyways welcome
