You have to go talk to the greybeards.
I have to say, the hike up the mountain to the greybeards looked AWESOME! The view of the mountains around you with the snow blowing was just amazing.
So, how many perks do I get by endgame? What's the max level? And how many "trees" is it wise to specialize in? I'm trying to build a Battlemage, heavy armor, one handed, restoration/destruction (haven't decided yet). Is 3 enough or will I have plenty of perks unused in later levels?
Loving the game by the way. I need a new videocard though.
The cap is 81. The soft cap is 50. Once you reach 50, it becomes much slower to level up (apparently). You can get to 81 by getting -all- your skills to 100. This was tested on the PC version with cheats. That means you can ultimately get 80 perks. But that probably requires a lot of extra work...
Yeah, the fact that making low level armor gives you as much exp as high level armor is stupid. BUT, it doesn't seem like any of the levels are on any curve (thus, the same amount of work always grants the same amount of increase). If that's true, then you wouldn't want to get more exp for higher level armor, because then you'd start flying through the game.
IMO, the fact that you can game the system does not make it a bad system, for two reasons: A) it's singleplayer, so you gaming the system does not affect me at all, and I have the will to not (or, more likely, I'm too lazy) to sit there finding leather, and building the same old leather glove.
Are you guys really discussing nerfing a system on a single player game? >_>
Seriously. Anyone played BG2? The fact that its horribly broken is what made it fun. So many overpowered ways to play, and there's always harder ways to play, too. Play how you want, so many possibilities... thats the fun...
almost everywhere i turn i keep reading things about skyrim, so now im thinking about buying it. but the problem is, for me, is the dialog in skyrim as listless and forced as it is in other bethesda titles?
edit: and i dont mean this in any condescending way or looking for negatives. its just in my personal experience that i frequently stop playing these games because i end up ignoring the quests due to disinterest.

Me too! I attacked a giant at lvl 1 and he made me fly for like 10 seconds before falling
.
Also @DiaHardBastionFan, I'm kinda doing the exact same thing

"to the worm in horseradish, the world is horseradish."
oh, is it worth it to buy it for xbox? or is PC really the best way to go?

Notice how they didn't even get the producer right. Blizzard isn't involved in TES in any way.
In my opinion, PC may be better in the long run.
I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
