All I hear are positive previews from both critics and fans (only a bit of negatives so far) but I'm not completely sold yet. Anyone in the community that has been closely monitoring this game and can give us some information (not obvious one at least) that can convince me to buy this game. I played the original one and it's good but I need more convincing, thanks.

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
I've ordered it on Steam myself. I'm very picky about what games I pay for. This game I've been really excited for. I've only played some of the first Deus Ex but I really liked it. I understand it's a very important game in the PC industry. I'm surprised you need more convincing though if you've actually played through the entire first one. You should be more sold on it than me.
But yeah I love the graphics of this game, I love the way the world looks, I love the whole theme of cybernetic enhancements and the moral ambiguity that comes with that. And the third person gameplay looks so fun too. Some of the gameplay reminds me of Mass Effect but this one seems even more complex. Like I understand in the first Deus Ex games you could finish a mission using so many different sets of skills, and if they accomplished that so well so many years ago, imagine how diverse the gameplay is going to be this time around.
I'm sure it will be worth it. It's only 45 dollars now if you pre-order it as well. I've got it downloaded but it's all locked until the release date
From what I've read, a build of the game leaked to some torrent sites and people are eating it up, even helping folks on the fence preorder. The UK Xbox magazine had a big (I think five page) spread on it, giving it a 10/10.
A definite buy for me. I understand hesitation, especially with the hype some games can get and turn out to be trash; but I'm taking that chance, I have faith.

Yeah the gameplay of the first Deus Ex is deeper than games like mass effect. Comparable but deeper as far as I remember (been a while). Anyway on Human Revolution (RV) I like the way it look but I think it could use some more polish and attention. Gameplay looks exciting but the enemy AI doesn't seem too smart, at least the video I watched. I'll probably watch more.

I played just a bit of the leak and my only complaints are:
-The combat feels too much like every other shooters out there. Shallow and boring. Luckily, there are alternatives, but I haven't really tried them out, I'd rather wait for the full game.
-The graphics... well, they look good... but the colors? Find me a screenshot that isn't yellow/brown/orange... I was very disappointed by that. Nevermind that they are the most disgusting palette of color to use everywhere.
But it looks like the game is worth the buy. It won't be as good as the first one (and don't give me that blinded by nostalgia crap: I played Deus Ex for the first time only a few years ago, even the combat though awkward, was better), but its looking like a worthy sequel, much unlike Deus Ex 2. And thats coming from a guy that hates almost every shooter in the past 6-7 years.
Oh... and it has pre-order in-game bonuses. I -HATE- that sort of crap but at least I know in advance, so I can get it. I mean, its a nice deal at first, but if they don't make it available at all later, its just... lame.

I think you're right, I saw some long walkthrough video and the game isn't out yet I don't even see a demo on steam. Wonder if those are full games or just demo build? If its a full game I hope these guys pay for it when it comes out. Me myself is short on budget but that doesn't make me pirate games.

Yeah I don't do the pre-order for any bonuses. I just do it so the day it comes out I'm not queuing up to download it.

There might be a full game leak by now as well, though, but that would be recent. The demo leak has been around for some time.
