Anyone else really looking forward to this game? The more I watch videos the more I'm excited about it. I'll definitely be trying to buy it as soon as possible.
Hits shelves June 9th.
The plot of Prototype centers on a large conspiracy regarding an unnamed mutagenic virus currently infecting New York City. The effects of the virus have been witnessed before in the town of Hope, Idaho in 1971. After being released in Penn Station in New York, the virus spreads through the city, necessitating at first subtle government actions to combat it, then martial law and evacuation. Alex wakes up with heavy amnesia in a morgue under the scalpels of two HAZMAT-suited scientists and escapes dazed into the city. He then begins to come to terms with his powers (including the ability to absorb memories - which is crucial to piecing together his own), and makes contact with his sister, Dana Mercer. Dana assists him in finding members of the conspiracy, which include government officials, military personnel and employees of bio-engineering firm GENTEK, where it is revealed Alex was previously employed.
Free roam mass destruction games are really my thing lately.
I'm very impressed. Usually i don't like games like grand theft auto ect, but i think this game has a lot of potential. No doubt there are a lot of people that are just going to love this game. Possibly one of the better games I have seen to date. The trailor was just awesome.
It might be entertaining for a while but iono if it would be worth the standard new game price
I like the idea of jumping on cars but theres jack all car variety and lots of them crush in the exact same way... it always the small things like that that get on my nerves after a while
It's got a good storyline.
It's not repetitive at all.
It's got excellent controls.
It's not ridiculously short.
It's got lots of flexibility as to how to play it.
The only bad thing about it is the lack of Crysis / Far Cry 2 graphics, but then again, I don't care, it's awesome.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
It does completely rock. So many ways to rampage in a city, or you can work on the side quests/achievements, or you can work on the main story/web of intrigue. There is so much to do and it's all so fun.
Anyone else notice the Blizzard references in Activision games lately? First the Frostmourne cave in the Wolverine: Origins game, and now this that someone found.
It's a wooden leg on a random roof. It spawns there. Note no enemies have wood legs or anything close. Wirt's Leg ftw?
Eh? There is no post that was deleted. I'll double check to make sure it wasn't hard deleted. Anyway you're supposed to discuss this in private not spam up threads!
Edit: Nope. No post soft or hard deleted in this thread, are you sure you posted?

Uh, you seriously think thats a reference to Wirt's leg? lol
Anyway, I finished the game a few hours ago and felt that I got my moneys worth. I hardly get that feeling from single player games.

Yeah you're right it's probably not. Actually I know it's not because I found it in game and there is blood on one side, so looks more like just a dismembered leg that always spawns.
I'm glad I bought the game, money well spent. I beat it a few days ago but I still get on to do events and just rampage when bored.
I always love games where you are not good or evil...
<3
Though, 60 is a bit much for me at this moment in time...
Side note: Anyone else have trouble getting on the Prototype site? I put in my birthday (Note: I'm 21.) and it said I was too young... Wtf? I went back and it wouldn't let me change the date. Ended up deleting cookies... -.- Not a good way for a game to start off...
But really, this game is good, to RENT. A mere 31 missions then 0 replay value, and don't tell me those little mini missions are the replay because those are terrible. I made the mistake of buying it, beating it in around 2-3 weeks, then returned it for Fight Night Round 4.

I am not a fan of Jazz music.
on a good day.... Optimistic and freedom-loving Jovial
and good-humored Honest and straightforward
Intellectual and philosophical
On a bad day.... Blindly optimistic and careless
Irresponsible and superficial Tactless and restless

In these days replay value and length aren't expectations for a game.

I just have a thing for open world games like this though, makes me feel like I'm really in the city as a powerful force.

Maybe my game standards are too high?
Yeah, this game is going to kick ass.
Can't wait to pop it in and play it.
