Huge guns are lame. They slow you down and stop you from touching your elbows! I've always had a weight lifters build and hated it because running was my athletic passion.

oh ya! Weight lifting is SUPER important to running. Elite level sprinters lifting would equate to probably....College level lifting for football players of the wide receiver, DB, running back position. But for me, I was naturally a guy with a wider frame. Not really a bad thing. It made me more suited for the 100 meter, which was my love. But it made me unsuited for events like the 400 meter.
I never really squatted in routine. Our program didn't focus much on lifting. I'd say the most I ever squatted was around 400 lbs. Not much at all, but like I said, I was never coached in weight lifting. I bench around 280. I'm a pretty weak dude for my size due to not ever lifting much.

I'm 6'3 and have long legs. But I'm not very fast at running (don't practice I guess) and only lift weights really.
