I guess the people who went to school for funeral services will become millionaires now and move to the rich country of America and probably get car jacked while sipping coffee at a red light.

I think it's time for you to stop huffing paint or eating lead or whatever the hell it is you're doing to kill brain cells in mass proportions and at a terrifyingly rapid pace. Unless you want to be a vegetable, which is fine for me.

It's really funny watching idiotic newscasters trying to give their highly uneducated and moronic views on the demons of nuclear power now that they have the incident in Japan to fuel their viewership ratings.

Ah no, from time onwards, the river began running but can it swim? I still slice my jam with a sharp fork, thank the Lord.
Fucking Airandius, making me browse through that god awful forum he registered on.
Found a hilarious article though, it was a collection of awkward sexual encounters people sent in, or some shit. Anyways, after laughing my ass off through the entire thing, I think "Fuck, Diablofans needs one of these." I recall my most awkward encounter, then sit down to start writing it out, wondering what others will post.
Then I remembered we're a video game forum.

If dolphins are so smart, why are they always getting caught in those nets? Whales and Dolphins ≠ Human lives imo. The day they build robotic legs and a breathing apparatus to walk on land I'll reconsider.
- After Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and losses endured during the Pacific theater of WWII, the Japanese people experienced a blow to their nation that, in my opinion, can be comparable to last week's earthquake in terms of overall devastation. This is the worst disaster they've seen since WWII and, while they haven't been hit with an atomic bomb, they are threatened by the possibility of nuclear failure and towns have been destroyed by the tsunami.
- However, during the past 60 years, Japan has grown to be one of the most volatile economies and one of the most influential countries in the world. Even after the bombings, the Japanese people were able to rebuild their nation and become a huge player in the modern world.
So, is there hope for Japan? Could they rebound again?
I'd like to think so. Your take?

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
The casualties and damage caused by the earthquake and tsunami is in no way comparable to the atomic bombs that dropped during WWII. The earthquake has caused, at most, around 20,000 deaths and destroyed towns. The atomic bombs caused a total of around 240,000 and destroyed two major cities. Not to mention that the firebombing campaign carried out by the US destroyed at least have of every Japanese city and caused upwards of 400,000 additional casualties. The recent earthquake, although terrible and disastrous, in no way is as bad as Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Also, a volatile economy is not a good thing.
Yes, I do believe that they will rebuild and persevere.
Not comparable as in casualties, but comparable as in "how much of a lasting effect is this going to have?"
Take a look at New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina was in 2004, but the reconstruction thus far hasn't been very proficient. 6 years later. Now, Japan has been dealt a serious blow, something much larger than New Orleans could even handle.
Taking that into account, how long do you think it could take Japan to recover. Take also into account the nuclear situation and the rebuilding of dozens of portside towns due to the tsunami.
I guess what I am trying to say is "how long until things are back to normal?"

Well of course it will take years and even decades for things to be completely reparied, and some areas may never return to how they were before the earthquake, but its still nothing compared to the devestation that Japan expirienced during WWII.
