Lol, I wasn't such a hardcore D2 player...only played offline...by myself
It's actually just a personal preference. Have only played with someone for like 15min in D3...I'll do it when I create my second character after my monk, but that's gonna be a long time. Still need to get to 60 and thru Inferno...maybe not Inferno, will see how it is!
I played d2 by myself mostly too. Online was no fun because it was just rush games. The only time I played online was to get free gear in some games and then when I played the Eastern Sun mod.
I played Diablo 2 online extensively. I had a few friends that I met on b.net and ended up playing with them pretty much exclusively. If we weren't leveling up or PVPing we were playing Hide & Seek. I had the most fun, honestly, playing Hide & Seek. We stuck to the main cities in each act and we weren't aloud to use maps or anything to help us find them. Some of the hiding spots my friend would find in Act 2 would just blow my mind lol.
Note to self; never laugh when my wife screams at a bug, I end up paying for it every time. Doing our final walkthrough on the house today and my wife came across a water bug roach in our sons closet the size of my cell phone (thank God they don’t multiply like other roaches). She went running down the hall way like a monster was chasing her. I thought it was funny until she setup an appointment for me with the pest control company at 7 am tomorrow. Then she thought that was pretty damn funny.
The story isn't great. But if you look at the plotline, it's no more cliched/goofy than Diablo 2 was. It's really about the same caliber, in terms of story. I think the problem is that we were all 12 years younger and less critical back then.
I must be easily amused, I love the games story line.
Gold was useless in Diablo 2, and for some reason the Stone of Jordan (Ring in D2) became the currency replacement for gold. I was stating I got into trading by the end of my time playing D2.
Gold in D2 was served the purpose of reminding us all just how little money we really have in real life. 200,000 1 ounce gold pieces at $1,600 an ounce = $320,000,000 yeah that would be pretty nice.

Me too, I hated being rushed through the games by groups that were on some kind of speed mission.
Third day of this mad quest, there's no more food and the water is just a drop in my boot, my follower died, I couldn't give him a proper burial, the monsters were too many to count, and the gemstone is nowhere to be found. I fear I might lose my sanity but I can't give up, not now, I've come so far, tomorrow... one last try...
Iv'e got 5 million gold collected and thats not counting the gold i made from the AH which is around 5 million too... Only one char, a barb. Almost 180 hours played. Just did an act 2 run with Don, killed belial with 5 nv like a boss xD
Inferno was clearly not tested properly but as stated adjustments will be made. The fact that there are still a handful people clearing content in the late acts means it can be done, maybe not in a fun way
Freddy, I only use the VQ builds on bosses, I honestly think VQ builds are terrible for content clearing considering you have no available tools to use since they are always on CD. Not sure why every thinks the are the king shit... I really hate using it, so awkward.
I finally started stacking some resists... around 250 unbuffed. I notice a huge difference! I just want to be 60 so I can start gold farming damnit... So does anyone have any predictions with the RMAH? Considering how cheap items are from > 60 do you think that market will exist? It's obvious some the 200K + items will move to the RMAH, but do you think there will be enough people who don't want to use the RMAH to maintain a flow of good items on the GAH?
I'm also starting to feel for any servers that aren't NA, the maintenance times always seem to be in prime playing times.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
Found another legendary today, this time a really nice set-piece of the Tal-rasha set. Something my wizard will love!
Just because I wanted to brag, I found one yesterday too =) It was the lacuni bracers. I then bought the promise of glory bracers (with 164 dex) from a guy for 250k, after I saw on the AH that they are going anywhere from 1m - 50m lol. =)

Guess ill keep on farming act 2 and the start of act 3.

I quoted this thinking I was going to comment on it, but then I forgot what I was going to say. Damn!
I don't care, the dog is guilty as hell, just look at his beady little eyes

You're doing better than most, be happy! Although I'm glad the QQ Dibalo 3 sucks because inferno is too hard posts have died down recently.

Edit: I love it!! that must be the creepiest level in all diablo history!!
