It's still the shit here in the UK but was wondering if any new research has come up around it questioning the validity or evidence behind.

It's pretty damn important. You need to have good core strength/stability from a general health perspective as well as from an athletic perspective.
It greatly helps with the aging process it that it keeps you fit and healthier as you get older. It's also beneficial in terms of improving over all quality of life. Helps with posture as well.
From an athletic perspective its super important for runners and weightlifters. Can't have good technique without a damn strong core!
I haven't seen any legitimate evidence suggesting that appropriate and well performed core strengthening and stability exercises have a negative effect.
Additionally, killer abs also help get the girls!
Edit: Probably important to note that I'm bias, as I have a large portion of my gym workouts devoted to working the core

Maybe that's why all the shark riding dinosaurs, beach babes, afro surfers and cthulu are hanging out on the URT beach. It's too cold other places.
@Freddy Sounds like fun! I was going to try to get a little LAN party together with snacks, and other entertainment for partiers uninterested in the game, but it just never came together. I don't have many friends who are going to play. I'm probably going to start out by taking my time and clearing the story solo on normal, and then play online with friends. Kind of hate that I'm not going to have a big event to celebrate in person, but I don't think anyone here except me is excited enough. LOL
Step one was pretty easy. I had a hard time with step 2 though, and even when I got it, it looked strange. I finally realized they left out "Step 3: Draw the damn tree limb so the fucking owl isn't flaoting in space."
I hate incomplete instructions. That was so confusing.

Less than a week! Yeah were just hitting between 90 and 100 degree's here these days.
I think it's going to be a long week for me.
90 to 100 would feel nice right now. Here it's drizzling rain and depressing outside. Just for the record, I'm nowhere near a beach, and I was talking about the shooped beach scene in here getting crowded.
I don't even want to be at a beach yet. I refuse to use tanning beds, so I have to have a few good sunny weekends at home or on the lake before I'm tan enough to be seen in public.
