My computer can't run youtube atm. What does it have?
A group of people protest a law saying you can't dance at the Jefferson Memorial by dancing there, about 6 or so people end up arrested and one gets body slammed and held down by his throat.
Lmao really? Why can't you dance there? Was it like that idiot across the street ruined it for everyone else type of law?

All that I know is that a lady was arrested for dancing there back in 08' and now it's illegal. They were commemorating the event, and sure enough they all got arrested too. Body slams, choking and all. Freedom of expression is dying I guess. Along with freedom of assembly.
technically theyre standing up for freedom of expression or w/e
but yeah, i agree with you, fighting this fight is just plain stupid. its not like fighting "separate but equal" or the "right to vote," but right to dance cause a scene in a place where people just want to look at a big fcking statue.

Remember the String of Ears
"to the worm in horseradish, the world is horseradish."
These 'Americans' are just bored and looking to fill up some time before the next Transformers movie comes out.
I think the release of Diablo and Battlefield 3 might greatly curb their protesting urges.
Pretty sure that's as close to protesting the government as it gets nowadays. Our rights keep getting infringed on and people are getting too scared to do actual protests. Patriot act and whatnot.
My one regret is that I found out about this protest after the fact. Two days after the fact. Had I known before hand, I would of been there personally.

Watch my video. Sixty plus people protested both the 2008 arrest and the 2011 arrests.
The video actually gives me hope that when the time comes they want to take away all of our rights, people will actually stand up to it. Adam Kokesh makes a good point. The government thinks they can regulate how and where we move our bodies. It's just ridiculous.

I'm really happy to see I'm not the only one who doesn't want to give up my guaranteed rights. I was beginning to think citizens were just complacent and didn't care. It's nice to see my pessimism proved wrong.

(Not at you exactly, just speaking in general)
That is one of the major problems with American culture. People think that rights are guaranteed. They are not. These people that protested the bullcrap arrests are the ones fighting for our rights. Rights are not given, and they are not free, they are earned and they are expensive.
And on that note, the idea that things are better then they have been so we shouldn't rock the boat, the same was said by the British Loyalists in the 1770's. Things got better. Things can always get better.
Quote from name="Thomas Jefferson" »
The will of the people is the only legitimate foundation of any government, and to protect its free expression should be our first object.
I didn't mean guaranteed in the sense they'll never be challenged, I meant guaranteed in the sense of that's what the constitution, and the bill of rights guarantee us. You're completely right you have to fight for your rights if they are challenged.

Sums up my opinion.
Enjoy.
Very nice Link, I couldn't find a video regarding this situation better.

The Government damn well better listen, or it won't be here for long.

I think TJ is on our side.
