Dude, amino acids constitute proteins, but when you form a protein, it's a new unit, to which you're allergic. Different amino acids make different proteins, yes, but it's the protein you're allergic to, as a whole unit, rather than single amino acids found IN that protein. If that were the case you'd be allergic literally to thousands of other things containing that specific amino acid.
Seriously though, I'm sick of people who use Google and Wikipedia trying to teach me bullshit that I've been studying for 4 years in an actual university rather than Firefox or Explorer..INSISTING that Wikipedia is the superior source of information in the entire world, and that the entire field of medicine can be summarized in a few hundred or few thousand articles on some irrelevant, completely inaccurate at times, website.
Equinox i see ur point but u know u can develop allergies over time..
Allergies are typically gained by avoiding direct contact with the item.
You won't get pollen allergies (that you didn't have) if you eat honey with the bees who work with that pollen, for instance.
So I doubt you'll get a milk allergy from drinking milk or a nut one from eating nuts. They're along with eggs are very standard foods in our country...
Actually if you damage your muscles you will get muscle damage and your muscles will NOT grow.
What you want is to rip tendons but that's different, and that causes regrowth.
But if you over-exercise you will just damage them.
Well, i was not talking about over exercise and also from what i know, when muscle cells get damaged during exercise they release these 'growth factors' (i don't remember particular names) that go about and make the surrounding myoblasts increase in number and fuse with the now damaged muscle cells. These myoblasts then donate their nuclei to the muscle cells or maybe they themselves become muscle cells. Whatever, the thing needed is more nuclei for the increased production of actin and myosin (proteins). But i am pretty sure this applies to the whole of the skeletal musculature. Over exercising will definitely harm the muscles though, damaged beyond repair.
